Heinze anyone? - move to liverpool turned down

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

He's 29. Very versatile and was from memory excellent before his injury. I do think that 7m is too much for him, as i understand it his release fee is 6m, so why the hel we offer 7m is beyond me.
If he really wants to come to us, then we offer 6m+1p and we will get him, they will have no choice but to eventually sell even if its on the last day of the window, i have read in several places that the MU told Hienze he can go to any club that meets the figure, and that he has it in writing, if true then Fergie can go fck himself.

No I think it is good business for us. He is highly experienced and a much better defensive option that what we have. he easily has three years in him and I hope we get him. May be the key piece that we need.

No for a number of reasons:

1) HE was 29 years old on 19th April this year, having been born in 1978.
2) He is an Argentinian international
3) He can cover in more than one area, having played Centre half and on the left of midfield
4) Rafa thinks he is what we need

Paletta isn’t a bad player by any means

Wilhemlson you have now lost all credibility on this forum as you have clearly never watched a Liverpool game

LMAO  :bowdown

Heinze is the type of player Rafa likes, someone who can play in various positions along the back four, very much like Arbeloa  :)

The fee is apparently in the 'region of £7m', I wouldn't pay too much notice to what the papers say, they know as much as us - anyone could write that we have made a bid 'in the region of £7m' and claim to be correct. I think it is unlikely that we would offer more than the release clause, IF he has a release clause of £6m anyway. And we do not know the exact details of the release clause either.

Why? :(

This is my view, am I not entitled to share it? Paletta is an okay player, he can improve in all aspects of his game and I am sure this will be case as he gains more experience against more challenging opposition.

Mate Paletta is w3nk, usually a play knows the basics but lack in some areas but Paletta doesn't even know the basics of defending, his positioning is awful  :no

Jesus Christ !!

Paletta is a 19 yr old snotty nosed kid thrust into the most physical and fast paced league in the World on the otherside of the planet and he is crucisfied.

He is a really talented kid, and when he matures will be the long term replacement for Carra.

Sorry Leon but you've been watching another player, plus he's 21, he can't defend, he's played the cup games and even struggled with Aliadiere, I rest my point.

The lad isn't even 'promising'   :(

I understand your opinions, however I am prepared to give Paletta more time, I want to see his induction into the first team, if he still hasn’t shown signs of improvement, and then Rafa should sell him elsewhere.

A player cannot hope to improve with just reserve team football and a handful of cup appearances and a few pre-season friendlies.

well he won't get any better on the wrong end of an howler against manure or chavski either and if their is a certain way to kill any confident s he has it is to get his own fans on his back in a big game

face it when someone isn't ready they just aren't so no amount of wait will help, and the lad isn't 16 he's 21 and no where near the standard for our reserves
