For all the abuse they got, I genuinely don't think we'd have got to the final without Traore's and Biscan's contributions along the way.

I won't be sorry to see him leave, but I don't doubt that his heart was always with the club throughout his time here, and I definitely wish him all the best. :)

Spot on, mate.

Good luck at the Valley Djimi...hope it works out for you!  :)

I third that, good sliding tackles sometimes.

Anyway Good Luck Djimi  :)

Hit and miss for me, he had a go, that's what counts, he was absolutely garbage though.

Like many players who have pulled on the famous red shirt, it takes something else to be a Liverpool player.

Forgot to add, he never that something else.  Could do well for a mid-table team though.

I'm gonna miss Traore, he had the biscan factor. People loved him even though at times he was atrocious, but he did try. He has been here longer than all apart from stevie and carra, id love to here what his accent is like now.

Good luck Djimi in whatever you do, where ever you go dude

Yeah good luck to him, glad to see him no longer in our starting lineup as he gave me too many heart attacks. In saying that though there was a certainly was cult hero factor about him and unlike some notable others in recent years in transfer costs he didnt really cost us a arm and leg.

His performance in the champions league final was worth £500k alone. Other than that he personally has had more downs than ups and has probabley decreased my life expectancey by 10 years, but i just remember Istanbul when thinking of him.

all i remember is him giving away a free kick on the edge of our box in the 1st min (from what they scored) and his usual clulessness that caused the 2nd goal.  He had 1 or 2 moments in the 2nd half, but he was to blame for 2 of the 3 goals we conceeded that night.

Whatever your opinion on him, in the CL final he could have cost us the game after his nightmare first half when he was all over the place. He only redeemed himself with that clearance off the line.

However, at the end of the day you can't polish a turd.

His "lucrative contract" is a concern (how on earth?) and anyone who believes he's good enough to stay is mad, I'd snap anyones hand off for £500k let alone the £1m it looks as if we're going to get..

Thanks for the memories Djimi and good luck.

Hard not to be value for money at the price he came at so many moons ago. Problem is he is not a left back, thinks he can play but can't and is always prone to costly errors. I've always maintained he might develop as a CB IF given a chance there but that ain't gonna happen. I hope we can get £1.5m for him, maybe if a smaller club plays him at CB regularly he may settle down, realise his weaknesses and play to his strengths
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

We bought him for some 550,000 pounds. After the 2004/05 season when Liverpool won the CL, Traore was one of the players rewarded with a new contract and I'm sure a pay rise. His reliability, however, remained average and he is bloody awful whenever the defence comes under pressure, never reassuring at all. Awful playing on the flanks and worse at central defence. He came relatively cheap but he cost us matches and he is not value for money.

1 million pounds, after taking into account of his pay rise, does not represent any kind of "profit" for us. If he had gone to neverton for 1.5 million last season, his departure couldn't really come sooner for me! Awful player, total clutz like Josemi and a wonder why Rafa did not get rid of him sooner.

Making £500,000 on him sounds like good business, but take into acount the wages, his errors costing us placement and advancement money (a weak argument, maybe) and the occassional humiliation have all been too high in price. He was never adequate cover and though his contribution in Istanbul wasn't half bad, it was a minor blip of good work in a career which has been not so much a comedy, but more a tragedy of errors. For me, he goes down as a typical Houllier error and really hope he goes. Now that we have Gabby and Danny as central cover and three talented left backs he should be packed off straight away.

So long Djimi. Thanks for coming, but you know where the door is and it's long past your bedtime.
