Harry kewell - First season syndrome

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

i'm sure harry kewell will be the first to admit that he has been dreadful recently. i mean in the last four or five games he has been virtually non-existent. but i still feel that some of the criticism that has been thrown his way is a bit harsh. he has scored 12 goals after all.

i think a lot of fans expected him to set the world on fire when he arrived. i wasn't one of them. i just expected him to provide more attacking options and a better balance. that was until foolier started playing him on the RIGHT. what the f#ck? he started well but recently he appears to be lacking confidence, which is not surprising. michael owen is the same.

next season we will see the best of harry kewell, but only if we change our style of play. the guy looked like a world beater at leeds. with us i see him playing almost as a left back at times. as they say, form is temporary, class is permenant. pires and henry were nothing short of woeful in their first seasons at arsenal. harry kewell is a liverpool player and also a liverpool FAN. next season we will see the best of him i'm sure :)

good points, but it's not just Kewell who has been played out of position. No wonder the players look lost, half the time Foolier is asking them to play roles that are not natural to them. :(

Hope you are right, the lad has undeniable class but his effort in the last few games has been poor, perhaps the poor performances recently are rubbing off on him and he's given up on this season?
He needs a good kick in the a#se however and I doubt GH would do this.
