im glad to see that, now we can all sleep well from now on, no more diao which to me i hope it means one of the young lads will get a opportunity to shine while alonso is still out

another thing on saturday i noticed was, without alonso do we really have the strength in depth thats required? hamann isn't a replacement for alonso by any means and i think it showed on saturday, hamann i want to keep dont get me wrong but i feel we need another midfielder to add more quality to the back up, more options

Glad Diaos gone too but I am sick of players going out on loan and us still paying half there wages, proves how sh#t they are that no one wants to buy them
I agree we need cover in midfield with only Gerrard, hamann, and Igor unless Rafa has someone in the youth system put put in the team, or hes holding his cards close to his chest and has something up his sleeve and we are going to get a quality midfielder.

i remember starting a thread on this a few months back. i think we are still subsidising our loaned players wages to the sum of £80,000 a week. add this to the ridiculous payoffs for houllier and his staff, and the need to finance the new stadium, and everything's hardly rosy is it? :(

Good riddance to him.  A legacy of Houllier and his disasterous signings of 2001-2002.  They're nearly all gone now, except for this loan business.... need shut permanently.

good point regarding the loans, payouts and new stadium. Sometimes I think the club is very badly run and wonder how long it can continue to be run this way. £10m for all those payouts?
