Houllier said he's not good enough and is going on a free.

Well, everyone knew it was a mistake :

a)to play Diao at right back
b)to play Biscan as Centre Back
c)to play Cheyrou at left midfield
d)to play Heskey (at whatever position)
f)to let Babbel go

but that didn't stop him did it ..?

I believe I read it on BBC teletext p312 (not sure it's still there though) I just read p302 which says what the "headlines" are and Hamann's name was mentioned so I took a look (slowly working through about 12 pages). I was astonished, not because I think Hamann is irreplacible but because it seems he is not being treated the same as other players

These Hamman rumours have been around a while.

However, I have a feeling Didi will last longer than GH at Anfield.

Houllier has begun the slow descent into cataclysm......he won't be here to decide on Hamman's contract.

I would be furious if Houllier sells some key players like Owen, Hamann or Henchoz, and is on his way soon after. I think we have to look at getting rid of Houllier before this possibility becomes reality.

I'm sure GH will walk in the Summer if things do not improve dramatically between now and the end of the season. with a full team available again, the next 4/5 games will be make or break.

Even though we made a couple of good signings in the Summer, I never felt it would make the difference. There are plenty of good players at Anfield but as many if not more average to poor players. Unfortunately Houllier has thrown money at a lot of the average players and they haven't paid off. I wonder if the next manager, whenever he arrives, will get the same kind of funds as Houllier has wasted
