It's a shame that Carragher didn't win the UEFA Best Defender, but John Terry won it instead. I rate Terry but Carragher was superb from the first game to the last. Even when we were 3-0 down, he was better than any of our players in that first half. I felt that he should had won it, he deserved it more than anyone else.

I don't think Terry is arrogant mate,he's  confident! He has a winners mentality and his feet are on the ground!! I hate him cause he does'nt  play for  us that's all ! The rest of Chelski wiill come and go but he's there  a great captain! Respect  when it's due and all that

It's not the best place to say this, but I just think Carra should be honoured to be listed as one of the top three defenders in the Champions League.  If we were to name all the defenders that didn't make the list we may realise that today was a great and proud day for Carra (and the same goes for Jerzy).

Overdone "award".

Should stop at one single player as the MVP and that's it. Perhaps have an honourary teal list and that should be it. This excessive and unnecessary naming best GK, defender, mid, striker etc is just UEFA trying to hype up things. The World Player of The Year award does not come with "Workd GK of they year" or "World Midfielder of the Year" etc or the prestigious European Player of the Year does not have sub-categories to reduce the prestiege and outright status of the player of the year.

I don't for a moment think much of this "award". Sorry, AB, but this is so trivial. I don't think Carra would lose any sleep. Anyway, one have to admit that on an overall basis, Terry shades our Carra because he does his share in getting the goals.
