What a great result for us. A number of our players who i would class as average stepped up last night.

We can hopefully now go to Germany with confidence. I felt Bayern missed a few chances and at times we looked nervous at the back. I'm sure they will use this as motivation for the next game. But they're defence also looked week and i think if we go there knowing this we can score goals.

My hope now is that with Gerrard back plus two of their midfielders suspended we should go there to attack and get away goals. We have a bit of a buffer at 3-1. I just hope we don't go there and try and defend it.

Bayer will be missing key players in Ponte and Freier, both of whom were crucial for them last night.

I think we can score against them in Germany.  It'll not be with free kicks, that's for sure!!  But we can nick an away goal.

We just need to play with the passion, energy, and desire to win EVERY ball, shown in the 1st half.  If we do that, then it will be hard for Bayer to come back
