1) Touré, the central defender from Arsenal who can also play at fullback positions to provide defensive cover. I know this is more of a dream but who knows??? Plus he would be really expensive.

2) Defoe, Tottenham. A goalmachine who is used to Premiership action and could be signed for a reasonable fee around 20 M Euro.

3) Camoranesi, Juventus. Might be interested to leave them and would rotate with Pennant. 13 M Euro

4) Torres, Real Madrid. Left back. Could provide cover in this position where we only have Riise and Arbeloa. Might be cheap and Real could let him go because they will buy someone better this summer, and Real have a history of allowing their youth products to leave.

5) Silva, Valencia. For me I'd say splash all the cash they want for him. This is the future star of left midfielders. Strong, fast, techincally gift and tough enough to play in England.


I have faith Rafa and the American owners will find some good new faces next season. These were my ideas and I hope Benitez won't dissapoint us this season and frankly I feel we will have a good summermarket.

Can't reallt imagine the blank cheque thing or posting up the likes of Terry or Kaka coz it is pure fantasy BUT the manager does apparently have some SERIOUS money to spend this off-season so a couple of big names seems realistic.

The three i would go for (i don't think we need 5) would be;

- David Villa (i also like E'to but have a feeling he would fall out with Rafa at some stage)

- Gamst Pedersen (been doing it in the EPL for years and we can throw in Bellamy as part of the deal)

- Gareth Barry (i'd like to see Hyppia stay for another season but Barry can play CB, LB, LM and CM and not look out of place in any position, massively underated player in my eyes)

Looks like we have already missed one top player

Arsenal-target France winger Franck Ribery will be joining Bayern Munich, a source has revealed on Friday.

24-year-old Ribery, who was apparently given permission to leave Olympique Marseille this summer, is reportedly on his way to Bundesliga in a deal worth 15 millions euros.They are also said to be tracking Chelsea’s Arjen Robben and Claude Makelele.

Its just been on Euro-sport that they have signed Ribery for 15million ( euro ) and im almsot certain it said they have signed Robben also.

If its true thats two we have missed out on?.Not sure about Robben.If they have signed him i dont think Chelsea would of sold him to us anyway. Bayern didnt qualify for the CL so i dont understand either of them going there ?

I think we need someone with more pace, strength and who is a more powerful runner than Morten Gamst Pederson.

I'm not convinced about Gareth Barry either, I'd cringe if we signed him.

Lahm, Owen and Tevez to be auto. picks week n week out... other 2 can fight for a place and would provide great options....
