Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

He was prbably in tears cos he was thinking that Chelsea wouldn't want to pay him £10,000 a week, let alone £50,0000 on that performance.
Sorry, very cynical when it comes to the modern day footballer.

well, if anyone reads the papers, it is quoted that Stevie G has openly said he wants to lift trophies with LFC. So i assume he is being realistic and not thinking of the CL (the only thing left this season to win), he is thinking of more about next season and the league etc. So, perhaps, all you negative folk may just have to eat yer words when next season starts and Stevie G is still in a LFC shirt.

You can talk all you like about this and that, but bottom line is, most of you know fu'ck all about the state of mind that SG is in, unless you are all psychotherapists with multiple years of experience. I think not.

Discussion is great, and long may it continue, but half of the idiots on here make rash judgements about things they know nowt about, and leave it to pure speculation, or follow someone else's feed like a sheep, without having their own ideas about it - very sad indeed.

So, why dont we see whats gonna happen and give the lads 100% support, instead of ranting on about a subject that most of us have little knowledge of.

This is just my opinion and is not meant to offend any one individual :p

Judge during last year's saga when the speculation about Michael Owen was going around I refused to believe that Michael Owen would  leave us, I would had betted money that he wouldn't [thank god I didn't] because I believed what Owen said which was that he was close to signing a new contract,etc....

I will not be sucked into the whole "I want to win things at Liverpool" until he actually stays here in the summer which I don't think will happen.

No one wants Stevie to go, but theres is no getting away from it that he was going to leave us in june until our new manager whom he didnt even know, flew out to Portugal to speak personally, to Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen and beg the 2 of them to stay.
Whether this had any influence or it was his dad, Ricky Parry or who ever.
How much none of us like the fact HE was going to LEAVE.
He has spoken so much to the media saying oh no like if I dont see an improvement im OFF.
Liverpool wont win the Champions League its not our season and its important for ME to play in it.

These words came from the horses mouth, not made up not speculation.

He has spoken an awful lot to the media, but he hasnt pledges his future to the club he is supposed to adore.

I adore him I hope he stays, but these words he has said hurt people, you cant blame them for getting annoyed, when he could have avoided the whole lot of it.

He is still a Liverpool player and our Captain the most important member of our team, so therefore he should only praise the players and encourage them to play better and fight for everything, like weve seen him do in the past.

If he goes theres one thing he does know for sure, he will never be as idolised as he is now.

But there are doubts in peoples minds will he stay will he go, people are hurt that adore Liverpool, WHY would someone want to leave our great club? Who does he think he is? This is the problem and he has no one to blame but himself with a little help from the London based media.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
