Gerrard - the goal was for the boss. - I see nothing wrong with this.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

After the stick that Houllier has been getting and the graffiti incident...This picture pleases me. Its good to see our captain is still commited to play, even under Houllier. Houllier might not be right for the team but I strongly believe that if the rest of the team stopped moping around on the pitch all the time we would be in a better situation. Nevermind the press and the fans, the players should still give it their all under their CURRENT manager and forget about next season.

Great sight to see & it just tells you that Stevie was saying that the players still believe in the boss & maybe they feel they have let him down??

It has everything to do with the fans and LFC as a whole....it shows that at least a few players are still passionate and willing to play. I mean why don't we just give up and stop playing the rest of the season...Every goal Gerrard has scored this season is for us and you are blind if u don't see this... Do people appreciate NOTHING. Almost every Liverpool fan is always behind Gerrard and the answer is simple...he will never lay down, under ANY manger. As long as he is wearing that red shirt. So let the man dedicate the goal to whoever the f##k he pleases.

Im not criticizing Steven Gerrard,he`s our one bright spark. But that picture depresses me.Houllier is wrecking this club slowly but surely and Steven appears to be backing him.  The powerless supporters can only look on.

Liverpool football club as we know it is dying and we have no power.

That depresses me.

Look at that picture again.Houllier doesnt deserve to be so happy,we just scored against a fourth rate Bulgarian team.So what! Is this what makes us happy? They are nothing, nobodys. IT MEANS NOTHING.I saw Shankly and Paisley. I saw Hansen and Lawrenson.I saw Souness and Whelan.I saw Barnes and Heighway.I saw Dalglish and Rush.Houllier is betraying the legacy of those great men.He is turning us into an ordinary club.We deserve better than Gerard Houllier. Liverpool deserve better than Gerard Houllier.

29 points behind Arsenal.

Utter abject embarrassment.

Anyone think GH is doing a good job?

We do deserve better but would u rather our players weren't as commited to play...even under GH. The picture is all about Steven Gerrard and what Liverpool needs to get back on track...Passion for the club. If all the other players in the team would stop thinking of the future and instead what needs to be done now, today...we'd be better off. Everything is not about Houllier.

GH WAS doing a good job, he has transformed us from the side we were in the 90's only winning two trophies (League Cup in 95 and FA Cup in 92) to the treble winning side of 2001 and a champions league quarter finalist. But their is still one step to go, the Premiership, and although GH has really transformed Liverpool, i think he is not the right man to take us that extra step.

I somewhat agree with u greenred. However, i guess that this is just after a bad spot, so there is reason to celebrate.

But i agree that we are deproving by lots and we need to buck up.
the best is yet to come..
