There is no way in Hell that he will get 5 years. That is the maximum - even if he smacked him sock on the nose 10 times, he wouldn't get that. He would get 5 years if he stamped on his head a few times or something like that.

As Crazyhorse has said - it will get dropped to Common Assault at worst, if the charges against Stevie don't get dropped completely.

The whole friggen thing is a storm in a teacup .. Lets face it ,none of us know what's happend ,so why feeckin make guesses and get yourself wound up . The lad is innocent until proven otherwise i think , the club have stood by him , we should stand by him . We should not make things up and have wild guesses at what the scenario was that led to him being arrested . If you know nowt (which 99.9 % don't ) then don't say owt . Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't a simple case of Gerrard's gone to the DJ's decks to put this song on that he asked for and was refused, the DJ's possibly tried to stop him by grabbing his arm or something.
