If you look back at his record before Liverpool it was poor. After winning the treble I thought we were well on our way and next stop was the league but the following season was a disaster and his dealings in the transfer market became a joke. I think we had the wool pulled over our eyes by the board, they must take the blame for GH and should now accept the L4 investmest and step aside

this forum is turning into a joke
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

just been thinking then, imagine if all houlliers signings became exceptionally good players and liverpool won the league with diao, diouf, biscan, cheroyu and all other players he signed.
we would owe houllier an apology

not particularly.

if you'd been on this forum a few months ago, you would have seen how i've criticised Houllier for the latter part of his reign. i called for his head.

people being so ignorant and dismissive of the whole era is just ridiculous though.

this thread reminds me of bein in school and the way i used to talk about footy then.

then again, everyone's entitled to a say....

For me one of the saddest things is that when it comes to managers we always seem to talk about ,Shankly or Houlier with the occaisional reference to Dalgliesh,Souness and Evans and yet the greatest manager we ever had (IMO) hardly gets a mention .
Bob Paisley , Shanks may have laid the foundation but Bob built the House .
