If not Militon then there's Ibanez. Rafa made it clear that he will sign a CB this summer, at least thats what Sami said today.

He is still yet to sign his new deal at RZ.

Liverpool have bid £7.5m but they want 12M. I think we could afford it but Rafa will not want to go that far. Hopefully we can get rid of Baros quickly and get him for somewhere around £10m

it has all gone quite in the Milito front.....i'm guessing (unless Real step in) he is talking to his team who are talking to us?

I think Benitez will sign Milito, he's guaranteed a new CB and there aren't many available out there.

5mill, Baros, and a couple European Champions signed shirts should do the trick!!!

Don't know much about the lad (does anyone know if he was in the Argie squad in Germany last month?) but we need depth at the back. I don't think that 1 CB will be enough with all the fixtures we have this season. After Carra and Sami, who is there?

? God forbid if one of those lads goes down, I don't think we want to see Whitbread marking any top flight forward in the league.

Zak looks solid enough, but agree with your sentiments. I think we'll have 3 CB's with Zak as cover and Rafa might bring in an extra one in Jan.

we could buy 2 centre backs, but it depends on how much milito is. I think upson is 2nd choice right now. Either one would be a good buy, save money on upson for a larger bid on someone else.

Apparently things are looking "complicated" over Milito's move. Zaragoza are offering him a new contract that matches ours, and they will refuse to sell him even if he wants to leave.

If we don't get him, we might be going for Real's Samuel or Jorge Andrade of Depor. I'll take any one of those, but any two would really put my mind at ease.

I wouldnt take either of those.

Samuel is so clumsy and gives away far too many fouls.
Andrade is better but not good enough imo.

Chelsea havent got tall defenders plus Reina lloks very very comfortable coming out to collect the ball .
