I'm welling up now, to be honest with you.

Glad we know beforehand - god I wish I was going at the weekend now.

Absolute, absolute legend. I wish we'd seen more of him this season, but to be honest two or three years ago the guy would have taken a season on the bench at this club.

We will never see his like again. And how beautiful would it be to see him get the winner in the CL final? So long as he gets on the pitch, I think that'd be a fitting way to go out - right at the top of his profession.

Hero, legend, god... raise the f*cking roof at the weekend lads. :)

We should never have let him go in the first place - I hope he can be part of winning the biggest prize in club football - would be a great end to his second spell.

A true Liverpool legend and hero - luv ya Robbie !

Legend gets bounded about to often these days , but this lad is an LFC legend in the true sense of the word.

He's just an ordinary lad who loved to play footy and loved to score goals, and boy could he score goals.

He's one of the most naturally gifted footballers i've ever seen , a complete natural in the box and as deadly as you will ever see.

On sunday we will be saying goodbye to a true Liverpool great, and one or two others who have done us proud.

So glad he is getting the chance to say goodbye properly this time and if there is a God (apart from Robbie) then he will come off the bench in the CL Final and score the winner

All the best Robbie and thank you for so many great memories

he`s never been the same since that derby clash with the keeper but before that he was something else.
in his early days he was possibly the best striker i`ve ever seen, he just couldnt seem to miss the bottom corner of the net even if he tried.
at the time schmeichel was a big prescence in goal and strikers couldnt seem to score past him in a one on one situation, i remember us beating united 2-0 at anfield and robbie just turned inside the defender, dummied to shoot committing schmeichel and then calm as you like chipping it into the net like he was having a kickaround with his mates.
he had ice in his veins back then.
great player.

Unquestionably one of the best strikers I have ever seen at his peak. Could hit it with both feet, (although was probably the sweetest striker of a football in terms of lack of effort and backlift with his left foot that you ever did see), brave as a lion, really good in the air, with a mind as quick and sly as a fox who's just won the annual "quick and sly" cup.
On the last point, his movement and anticipation was probably THE best that I've seen in an English striker. I remember seeing an interview with Ian Wright, (who to be perfectly fair was a pretty special striker himself in his heyday) and he said Fowler was it, where it was at, the one who the professionals used to watch, studying how he slipped salmon like into the current of the game to nick the prize before easing back into an eddy to catch breath and regroup (that last bit are my words not Ians, obviously). A truly wonderful player, who ranks right up there with Rush, Keegan and Dalglish as the best we've had and sits just above other illuminaries we've had up top such as Owen, Aldo and Beardsley.

Totally agree European Kings and well said. One small thing though, we get many complaints from posters about members of the forum posting in "text speak". I must confess it does my head in as well. If you could post normally, many of us would much appreciate your imput.
