Fowler is off!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Fowler is almost definetly on his way to either Cardiff city, Leicester ciy or Sydney FC, which is a club in the Australian A-League. Here he would not get as much pay, but it is a shorter season, which he can benefit from and play Asian champions league... your view?

Yeh i believe sydney are really trying to get him as there marquee player which means he doesn't have to fit in the salary cap that each club has to abide too. Something the prem will never do. I think robbie going to sydney fc will do wonders for him and will really lift the profile of the a league which is really starting to grow. Being from Newcastle, australia and following the jets in the a league robbie will course enormous interest and would love to see him play at newcastle.

I was hoping he could come and help becks teach Americans how to play football, I know the New England Revolution were interested and someone in the organization had some kind of realationship with God, but his agent came out fairly strongly against.  What happened to the interest from Celtic and/or Rangers?

Robbie should simply retire. He will end up like Rush trying to cling on when they should retire at the club and bow out gracefully.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Sydney FC are playing LA Galaxy later this year. It would be great to see David Beckham vs Robbie Fowler in Australia.
