Fixtures :-

Away vs Man Utd, Burnley, Birmingham, Hull
Home vs Sunderland, Fulham, West Ham, Chelsea

Two sides away in the bottom three, must win those. Really need to try and win the other two, if we go back to Lucas and Mascherano then Rafa can kiss 4th and his job goodbye. Four very winnable home games, bar the Chelsea game. I think we need 6-7 wins, force the rest to win 5-6 out of eight. The only way to put pressure on from our position is to win, win and then win again. We've won our last SEVEN home games in a row, but since that run contained Wolves, Wigan, Bolton, bitters, Blackburn and pompey let's not get too carried away. Our last away win was in DECEMBER, draws at Stoke, Wolves and Citeh with a defeat at Wigan last week and at Arsenal about five weeks ago. If only we'd been more positive in some of those, one or two wins in any of the games at Stoke, Wolves, Citeh or Wigan would have bolstered our points, even if we'd lost another game.

Correction:

If we go back with Lucas and Kuyt and the anti football(no movement, sideway passes and no creative skill) they stand for we can kiss 4th goodbye.

That's the scary bit.

That's shocking. We haven't won an away game in 2010.

In your much repeated OPINION which I and I'm sure others disagree with, yet you force feed at every opportunity  :sleep

We get it, you hate Kuyt and Lucas. Change your name to reflect it if you feel the need, but I'll take it as read you don't like either of them

It's still a bit difficult but Liverpool will end up fourth, no doubt. And Benited will keep the job! :blues:

indeed

our home form this season is actually better than last season

our away form has collapsed to almost 1 point / game

the fact is that in March we need other teams to drop points for us to reach the dizzy heights of 4th!

Woopee!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

The race for fourth is obviously going to be tight, but can we afford to be beaten at Old Trafford on Sunday? Spurs are Away at Stoke which won't be easy, ditto Man City at Fulham. Villa though host Wolves and I'd expect them to win that.  My guess is that at least two of our nearest rivals will win, so a defeat could be costly. Our other closest rivals (Birmingham) have a winnable home game and then will face us at Saint Andrews in a couple of weeks. They'll be hoping to get themselves back above us in the league table. It's a funny old game.

City being the major threats. Above us WITH 2 games in hand

I still say, despite an impressive win (against a team in administration) that we won't finish 4th. The attacking display we saw on Monday night was an anomaly - watch Rafa revert to type in the next few games.

Spurs and City have games in hand on us. I think it's too little, too late.

I really hope I'm wrong.  :(
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

5:4 in favour of yes, however it has shifted somewhat from once being 5:1

Can't see us finishing 3rd, 13 points behind Arsenal with them +19 better off on goal difference and they've played all the 'big four' rivals while we've yet to play two more. They have the easier run in, not that that necessarily counts for a lot but the mancs, Chelsea and Liverpool can take points off each other while Arsenal don't have to worry about that anymore.

BIG FOUR HEAD2HEAD TABLE 09/10

1. Chelsea : P4 W4 D0 L1 F8 A0 PTS 12 (GD +8)
2. Man Utd : P4 W2 D0 L2 F5 A5 PTS 6 (GD 0)
3. Arsenal : P6 W2 D0 L4 F5 A11 PTS 6 (GD -6)
4. Liverpool : P4 W1 D0 L3 F3 A5 PTS 3 (GD -2)

No draws thus far this season, the only points Arsenal picked up were off us as both Chelsea and the mancs beat them home and away. Chelsea have two away days left in this mini-table, could be decided on GD if the mancs win their two home games. The outcome of the two games they have at home could decide if they win four in a row and 19 overall.
