apart from the usual excellent alonso and gerrard threads etc etc, Steve Finnan is the one player who has shown the most improvement since his move from Fulham.

He quality down the touchline and skill, leaves me breathless at times. I think he has avoided the attentions from many on here, but he is getting better with each match.

He has had his injury problems, but seems to slide straight back into it. It is a breath of fresh air. I am pleased with Finnans efforts for Liverpool and long may it continue.

For those doubters on here, i dont just criticise negatively, i am also positive !!

what are the thoughts of you lot ??

Finnan started very slowly for us when he first moved, but has improved so much and was consistant last season.
From what i have seen so far he is getting forward more as well and overlapping the midfielder...it probably helps having Gerrard ahead of him.
His crossing is mostly spot on as well.

he is now playing with more confidence, but i never doubted his, and im pleased rafa is using him to his best abilities. I hope he doesnt have any more injuries, coz i cringe when Josemi is playing

I agree. Time and time again he never fails to deliver. He's our most improved player by far.

i think he's also one of our most consistant players aswel. he never does anything out of the ordinaery or magical but does his job very very well. which, as a defender is all you can ask
