I've heard that the deal with Inter Milan has broken down.

Well with Rafa saying he wants to sign a centre back and a right midfielder in the next 6 days then I'm sure we'll know something in the next few days  :)

Malbranque is a great player but Figo has a winning attitude and would give far more experience to the squad  :;):

Malbranque is a central midfielder is he not? We need a natural winger, not CM who can play as a winger.

Valencia want Figo

Valencia are thought to have made a second move for unsettled Real Madrid winger Luis Figo.

Sources in Spain suggest the Mestalla club are prepared to offer the Portugal international an incentives-based two-year deal worth €1.8 million.

It is thought that Valencia president Juan Soler has tabled the offer to Figo's agent Louis Vicente Douens.

Despite the interest of Los Che, Internazionale remain favourites to land the 32-year-old, as the Italian giants have offered a deal closer to Figo's wage demands of €4 million over two years.

Premiership side Liverpool have also been long-time admirers of Figo but the midfielder has already ruled out a move to the Anfield club.

With his future at El Santiago Bernabeu still uncertain, Figo is set to meet with Real officials next week.
