Im not saying tis correct that they have him bcos hes united skipper... but that is a reason... and maypax, who started the topic asked what he had done to deserve being in the team. I said that he shouldnt discount him becos hes a scum player... he is infact very very good.. not just good and that is why he is there.

My initial point was I like to see Liverpool fans give credit where it is due and not be blinkered by where a player is from or what side he is at, which is the impression I got form maypax

yeah agree- as much as i hate to say it he is a better cb than carra overall - still wouldnt change carra for anyone around as i still think he is one of the best cbs in the prem but also with that added extra passion he brings which you wouldnt get from ferdinand. i used to think ferdinand was a show pony who couldnt do the simple stuff of just hitting it to row z when required but for the last 18 months he has changed and realised his first job is to defend.

not all. but the defenders yes. Terry and Ferdinand are not the best at all. the Fifpro team seems to have been picked based on the number of shirts they sell more then anything else. except for Xavi, Messi, Ronaldo, Torres and Gerrard and also Cassilas and Ramos argubly.

thats a fantastic TEAM rather than team sheet. verry well done... but I would make changes in central midfield and defense but i suppoe that is what opinions are all about arent they...

it would have been interesting if they'd set it up like a tactical outfit, including fullbacks, def midfielder etc - who would have been the anchorman? for me its either Senna or Mascherano and nobody else comes close

that was the ferdinand of a couple season ago - take away his bad performance on sat the rest of the last two seasons he has been up there with the best .
