Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Yeah, I liked him. Seemed like a very down to earth bloke. Very unlucky with injuries. But I'd rather he stayed than some 36 year old fart in Sylvinho...

I think he is a top player when fit and the difference when he was fit and in the side regulaly was major.
But the club are right on this one, pay as you play or move on as he spends far too much time injured to be able to justify his wages and a place in the squad.
I wish him well wherever he goes.
We know definately need to bring someone in, Insua should be back up to a new player not first choice.

Decent player but as others have said injury prone. To be honest left back in my opinion has been a problem for years, I still don't think Insua is ready and he was very inconsistent last season.

We need to buy a quality replacement unless Benitez thinks Agger can play there regularly.

He is a good player but his loss is not going to really affect the side. You can understand why the club have offered him a pay as you play deal considering the injury problems he has had during his time here.

Decent him, i thought he played well against us the other year in the champions league.
Looks agressive and gets forward well.
Seemed more comfortable on his right foot though didnt he.

such a shame about aurelio. i think he has been massively underrated, as many people look at his injury record than his quality when playing. another of those frustrating kewell type players - undeniably talented but unable to play anywhere near enough games. if he had been fit more often we'd have done a lot better this last season.

was a useful player, but nothign more than a squad guy at best.  How much did he cost, 3 million wasn't it?

No he was free.

And i disagree, on form and fit he was a key player.
like andy said underrated.
It was just a shame that as soon as he appeared to be hitting form he got another injury.
