Fa cup - Can we win it?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I've really got a good feeling that we will get to the FA Cup final this year. The draw has been relatively kind to us and one of ars/chel are going out now. All we need is for the winner to draw man u (who won't throw away a 3-0 ht lead however badly they're defending) and things are looking good. I watched portsmouth last night and if we can't beat them at home then its a disgrace.

For all the Premiership sides that have been knocked out, the "big three" are still in it. One of Chelski or Arsenal will tumble in the next round but we are still capable of losing to some average team. Remember Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last year and Bolton in the Carling Cup earlier this season?

I think we have a reasonable chance of winning it. Anything can happen in one match.

Yes - we can win, draw or lose. Glad you worked that one out!

If we could get 4th spot and the FA Cup, that would give Houllier some breathing space.

I sometimes wonder if any of you have a clue. We can't beat teams like Tottenham, Portsmouth, and Charlton, yet you think we can manage fourth and maybe a cup or two. Another defeat or two and you'll change your minds again

You're even less consistent than the team  :O

The Fa Cup is not a priority but it would make things easier for Houllier.

And I'm not saying where going win it, but we have a reasonable chance.

the fact that we lose to sh#t teams and are yet capable of winning something if we play to our full potential is exactly why we're so p#ssed off at the moment.

Start of season, everyone thinks we'll win.
Early season, doom and gloom cause we lose three in a row for the first time under Houllier

Now it depends where we are in the league as to how you rate the team and our chances of winning stuff.

Any team can win the FA Cup up until they get knocked out, it is far too early to pencil Liverpool in as winners since the cup is less predictable than the league and we aren't even certain to finish 4th in that

No one said we are certain to win the FA Cup or to get 4th in spot.

In my opionion we are favourites to get 4th spot along with Newcastle.

The FA Cup is anyones, and that includes us.
