Chelsea could 'have' drawn and they did not.. we could have... etc etc.. but we did not we won. There are no easy games in the league or in Europe.

As for the great teams of the past, well if Benitez don't get us there i don't know who will. He is building a side, a stronger side and we need to be patient. What others lost over a decade or so, ain't gonna be restored over night

why are we having a war over cisse   we must get behind the team and give djibril cisse some suport as he could still have a future at liverpool, i think his confidence has been shattered at the moment with reports that he would have been sold in january if a big bid had come in, as much as i agree with ciggy about cisse being brought in to partner owen  as for cisse to ignore rafa is totally wrong, rafa and cisse need to have a sit down and clear the air on a few things  because cisse has to start producing the goods like now   but rafa needs to tell cisse he is important to the team   because january is miles away

People feeling sorry for Cisse can feck off as far as I'm concerned after tonight.  Yes it is a shame for the lad that Benitez wants to get rid of him after he came back from such an injury and yes it's a shame that he's been either played out of position on the right or as a lone striker.

But one thing there's no excuse for is laziness, and Cisse's workrate (and not just tonight) is an absolute disgrace.  He is twice as quick as Crouch yet Crouch managed to put a lot more pressure on their defenders by chasing around.  Cisse needs to get it sorted, and quick, if he wants any future at this club.

I'm far from a doom-and-gloom merchant and was very satisfied with our general performance and the result tonight, but Cisse can't be allowed to get away with that again or it will cost us.

Oh and Morientes is wonderful is he?

Traore was dreadful tonight reminded me of the CL final where he got whipped to pieces no ones mentioning him though are they?
I cant understand all this Cisse batting I really cant, but then again I suppose Mellor will be ok as his replacement if he goes, cause Dirk Kuijt wont be coming till after the World Cup.

Well first of all Morientes didn't play tonight so don't know where you pulled that one from.  Yes he's underperformed but he's simply not lazy, just watch him

Traore was ok tonight actually, I don't think he's a great player but he tries his heart out every time he takes to the field so that's why I'm criticising that lazy sh.it Cisse and not Traore.

There's a difference between criticising someone's ability and someones effort.  For 40 grand a week Cisse needs to move his @rse a bit more

All looked good tonight especially Garcia, Crouch & Momo. We beat a strong Spanish side 2-1 away without too much difficulty and with the luxury of leaving Stevie on the bench for most of the game.

Don't dispute that CGGY, Morientes is a favourite of Benitez alright.  But from what I've seen of him on the pitch, you can say he's past it and you can say he's not gonna adapt to the prem or whatever but you can't call him lazy imo.

Anyway, let's agree to disagree on this one, it was a good result and a good performance tonight which is the main thing

I'm still waiting for Cisse to produce the goods BUT to be fair you can't expect a racehorse to pull a milk wagon . With his accelaration the fella deserves far better service than he receives . We all know he's quick but balls just pumped in his general direction aren't good enough ,it's almost as if his team mates are overestimating the fella's pace  , as quick as he undoubtedly is you've got give the fella a fair chance of getting onto them . I don't doubt Cisses talent , I fear however we are wasting it .
