Wait am I hearing this correctly? Most people who were p1ssed at Rafa for considering selling Cisse now want Benitez to sell him! :D  This forum gets better and better, how fickle can you get?

Couldn't understand Houllier's assessment then as a possible Liverpool player. As time goes on I still can't. Mori was a bit of a necessity at the time but he's a team player (not a great one!!!)

You can't slate the lad yet, he's only placed a bit part since he came back from his broken leg. :(

His valuation when we bought him was that of a proven  CL class player and we were conned by Auxerre who knew a sucker when they saw Houllier.
Does anyone really think that Raffa would have paid that much ?
Get what we can for him in January and make the most of it.
I've been watching football for a very long time now and I cannot see that much wrong with the rest of the team which won't get better by just playing together, including Josemi, including Zenden. Gerrard's lack of form is explainable but we KNOW he'll come good.
If this is a fit and "up for it" Cisse, then forget about it !!! I watched him in the French league as soon as GH (GRRRRRRR) made his interest known and he was no different then.
Let's  just get a team together for now and then start thinking about "stars"

??? I never wanted rafa to sell Cisse A.B. and your comment on the earlier post, to me was so its MO fault Cisse is not performing, well yes it is.
Cisse came to Liverpool hoping to play alongside MO with GH as manager, it just so happened that within weeks of his transfer Houllier got paid off and Cisse was already bought.
Then Cisse gets a dreadfull injury forcing Rafas hand to buy Morientes, whom of cause id Rafa's mate, baros and Cisse could not get a partnership going, due to Baros headless chicken and Cisse back from a leg break.
Then the lad that nearly lost his leg done his upmost best to get back to play for Liverpool in the CL final, even JC said he thought he was joking.
Then what does he get told in the transfer window, Liverpool are listening to offers ???
Was Liverpool listening to offers for Carra or Gerrard? No they bloody well wernt, its totally unacceptable in my book, the lads done f@ck wrong he was just going to be the sacrife the lamb to the slaughter to bring MO back to pay for his wages. Rafa sort your relationship out with Djib and Djib ignore Rafa on the touchline, sorted.
Cmon Cisse lad do it for us and do it for yourself.

I have an idea !~! Lets give the man a :censored: chance !!  He's committed to the cause and he just needs a strike partner, that's all.  He's a student of the game, and hes plying his trade with the bets of em.  Maybe this season he'll have 10-15 goals, but this is his transition season really.  I think next season if you lot haven't chased him away by then we'll have a 15-20 goal striker  (more goals than Owen will score)

Who's slated the boss ?
He never bought Cisse, and probably never would have. As the topic says "excellent - but ..............."
The lad is, and always will be, a passenger when the going gets tough.

Almost shot ourselves in the foot second half, why we came out n played so deep ill never know. Actually in hindsight we were comfortable enough, but was nerve racking watchin the second half.

Anyway, I wasnt expecting cisse to come on and score a hattrick, but his workrate was poor. He never closed any space down, gave their back 4 plenty of time to knock it around, and simply didnt run the channels at all.

And his link up was summed up when he got a sight of goal. He had Garcia on his right and had an absolute age to play the ball. Fair enough he didnt, so Garcia makes an excellent diagonal run dragging away one of 2 CB's, and Cisse goes and plays the ball in the direction against Garcia's run. People critised Baros' for not being able to link up, in that situation Cisse simply appeared unable to read the game.

regardless, 2-1 win and superb footy in the 1st half. Roll on Chelsea

Just because we got 3 points from this game doesnt mean every Liverpool fan should be over the moon ??? .
They could have beaten us 4-2 at the end I am sick and tired of this under performing, but mant people on this forum are happy with a draw and a victory that was not convincing.
maybe I am watching the wrong team maybe I should leave my rose coloured channel sun glasses on I dunno.
But Ive been going to anfield since I was six and this Liverpool team are a shadow of the great ones, why is it so hard for other people to accept?
My life is my football club i just wish I was their life.

I dont think we should sell cisse, but i agree he isn't brilliant at the moment, he needs to work harder on winning the ball and well as keeping things simple passes etc. But I think if he doesnt improve he may go in january certainly in the summer. All I can say is everyone get behiend our players cause we are stuck with them til at least january.

I missed the second half cos i was playing football so i can pass judgement on cisse for today. But i was happy with the first half display.

Yes the crouch doubters should go home, He will work well in our system. He's not there just for his hieght.

People feeling sorry for Cisse can feck off as far as I'm concerned after tonight.  Yes it is a shame for the lad that Benitez wants to get rid of him after he came back from such an injury and yes it's a shame that he's been either played out of position on the right or as a lone striker.

But one thing there's no excuse for is laziness, and Cisse's workrate (and not just tonight) is an absolute disgrace.  He is twice as quick as Crouch yet Crouch managed to put a lot more pressure on their defenders by chasing around.  Cisse needs to get it sorted, and quick, if he wants any future at this club.

I'm far from a doom-and-gloom merchant and was very satisfied with our general performance and the result tonight, but Cisse can't be allowed to get away with that again or it will cost us.
