Firstly about banning every Evertonian that comes on here, well I've been on here for a while now, never posted anything bad, gave opinions and joined in with the banter. I don't think I should be banned just because of the result today.

About the game, Liverpool just didn't get the breaks today, and thats football. Football is 90% quality, which Liverpool had today. Some of the football played was good but you just didn't have that 10% of luck you need in these types of games. On another day the result may have been different. Carragher shouldn't have played today, but it was probably himself that told Benitez he was fit for the game. These games are massive for the scouse players, especially when they are playing for the team they support!

The Risse injury looked nasty, is it the same ankle he done against Sheff United? Yes he was late in the challenge, didn't look a bad tackle from where I was sitting. I wish him all the best in his recovery and that the injury isn't that bad. Crouch had an off day, it happens to all players, and I thought Fowler played well and gave our defence a hard time.

The team that Benitez baffled me. Auerlio sp? looked out of sorts in this game. I think it was a bit harsh on throwing him right into the deepend on his first derby. Alonso surprised me today, from what I've seen of him in the past, he looked a total different player on that pitch. Garcia was busy, but he kept drifting out of the game, where in these derby game, you can't do that. Why Bellamy wasn't in the sqaud even more so the team today I couldn't understand. I was dreading him facing us today. He has everything that our defense dont handle so well. He gets into good positions and his pace is electrifying. I'm glad he didn't play today. Also Pennant. We had Naysmith at left back, no pace and no tackle, so I was glad to see Pennant on the bench.

We had the luck today. The first goal could have been disallowed. Osman seemed to block Finnan to let the ball slip through to Cahill. Also the second goal, the play could have been stopped for the tussle between Alonso and Cahill. But it doesn't take away the fact of the woeful defending for that goal between Hyypia and Carragher. Hyypia tried to block AJ but his pace got him past Hyppia and I don't know why Carragher just didn't hoof the ball into the stand. The third goal was the fault of Reina. I thought he could have caught or at least pushed the ball over the bar. As soon as he pushed it into the air he was in trouble. That goal reminded me of a Garcia goal at Anfield not so long ago. End of the day, thats football. Some games you get the decisions, some days you don't.

We battled hard today and seemed to want it more, but the main factor of today was that we had the luck we got the breaks. Poll was a disgrace today, and the FA should have told him he wasn't needed no-more after the World Cup. He is most probably the worse referee in the Premiership.

These are my honest opinions and no doubt I will be slated by some fans and most probably some people will ask for me to be banned.

I've read some comments on here since the game has finised. Yobo shouldn't have been on the field?? Why, because on the tackle on Gerrard? The ball was there to be won, Gerrard was a bit quicker nicked the ball away and Yobo caught him high. Yes it was a foul no it didn't warrant a red card.

Anyway I hope you respect my opinions and that I'm not slated too much for them!

You talk sense, lad.  Well done.

i'm surprised nobody's started a thread scapegoating garcia, as normally happens after a poor performance.

i thought he was pi$4 poor today but he's never a wide player in a million years, especially when you're playing against a very physical side away from home.

The only results we ought to concern ourselves with are Man U and Chelsea. Chelsea are beating Charlton and will win, my suspicion is that Man U will beat Spurs to put themselves eight points ahead of us though we do have a game in hand. That game in hand is away at Chelsea. Maybe not winning at Sheffield United was something to be p!ssed off about after all.

Very poor team selection and we paid for it.

Lescott and yobo must have been rubbing their hands together before the game because we had no pace whatsoever. Bellamy should have played to give a pace threat. Carra was not fit today. You could see that. For the second goal, it was something Carra would deal with 99 times out of 100 and unfortunately he didn't deal with it and we paid for it. Pennant should have played because he would have certainly tested naysmith.

I think Everton did deserve it today because they had 3 chances and scored them. We had 20 odd chances, we didn't score. That was the gulf between the teams. If you don't score you don't win, simple as.

On the handball, I've seen them given but you can't really blame the ref because he had no chance of seeing it from where he was positioned. One thing that was poor about Poll was that he didn't see Cahill grab Alonso round the neck in mid ar and haul him to the ground by his neck and then hold him down by his neck, from that Everton then scored their second goal.

On the third goal, you can see for yourself. Awful goalkeeping, why didn't he just punch it over the bar instead of more or less bouncing the ball of AJ's head? I guess it would have been worse if it was the difference between a win and a draw etc but it didn't effect the games result.

Everton in the first half played well. They got all the loose balls and did very well. We were poor, didn't keep possession, didn't get to the loose balls first and didn't convert our chances. We did have a 10-15 minute spell in the first half which saw gerrard hit the post and he then shot just wide and it also included Aurelio's free-kick.

In the second half, Everton sat back and allowed us to play. We looked better but again didn't convert chances. We hit the post again, finnan shot just wide, gerrard shot just wide. It was with 30 minutes to go I thought it's not going to be our day.

I think at the back is where we shot ourselves in the foot. Aurelio was caught out of position, hyypia came across to cover aurelio, carra came across to cover for hyypia and finnan came across to cover for carra. This left cahill free at the back post to slot in the first goal.

Today Alonso didn't impose himself on the gane. Garcia and fowler went missing and crouch was in the defender's back pocket all the time.

I think, based on the second half performance, we deserved a point but you don't get it if you don't score. The 3-0 scoreline definately flattered them.

We can bounce back from this. This is the kick up the ar5e we needed TBH. You can expect a totally different Liverpool within the coming weeks.

Don't forget, we have only played 3 games. There is a long way to go yet.

Yates, don't take it to heart mate. Some people do need to take a chill pill, it's true, but...it's a bit like having a 'blue' with the Mrs...you say some things you don't really mean in the heat of the moment.   :)

Cig is feeling the heat a little TOO much and is projecting...you're just the poor bunny in the firing line. Just duck a bit lower. But it must be said, if you're looking for commonsense post derby match defeat you are totally deluding yourself!!!    :D

Is this the time to give Dudek a run in the team, that last goal was a joke and as for the second reina seems to get beat at his near post too often for my liking. :veryangry
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Will this sentence be used after every result? I know it's the 3rd game of the season, but it's wearing think already. A win, a draw and loss is shocking, especially when you look at the calibre of the opposition.
