Is right The MOMO is back  :buttrock

Momo Sissoko will be fit for this weekend's Merseyside derby after recovering from a knee injury.
The Liverpool midfielder sustained the knock against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League qualifying round but has now returned to full training and is available for selection at Goodison Park.

Manager Rafael Benitez, however, still doesn't know if either Jamie Carragher or John Arne Riise will be fit in time to play this weekend as both continue to recover from ankle injuries.

"Momo is fit and has been training normally at Melwood," said the Liverpool boss.

"It's more difficult to tell with John or Carra and we won't know until Thursday if they have a chance."

Benitez is keeping his fingers crossed that his international stars return unscathed from tonight's European Championships qualifying action.

He added: "The players will be back with us tomorrow but there's no time really to do what we'd like before the derby. All we can do is make sure they have recovered from their international matches.

"The important thing is they all come back fit and without problems. That's our hope."

Sissoko is a fucking machine-like super-athlete.  He's very fast at recovering from injury isn't he?  I love the lad.  I'm SO pleased he's fit for the Derby.  The protection he offers is incredible.  Allows Gerrard to have more of an influence further up.  Thumbs up all day in my book.

I know Alonso has had a slow start to the season but when on song, I don't think there is a team in the world who could live with Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko as a midfield trio.

Everton certainly wont be able to live with it.

Although Carra and JAR may still be injured, I feel more confident now than I have for  long time, in the sense that we actually have good cover for them.

Having said that, I hope they recover very quickly.

I'm backing Alonso to have a huge week for us.  Not sure how many minutes he and other international returnees will get against the bitters, TBH (hopefully he'll start, put in a good shift and come off early once we're 3 up on them! :D ).  But, I think he'll be huge in Eindhoven and I've got a gut feeling he'll be MOM against Chelsea in our first win at the bridge in some time.  I'm not usually so optimistic but I just have a good feeling about these upcoming fixtures.  You read it here first!  :buttrock

I cant see us losing this one, but could be tough. Andy johnson is very good.

But they have more to worry about than we do!

Heres something from Bluekipper from the older generation:

I'm sorry..but this has to be said.As an Evertonian for 65 years, the constant reference to our opponents from across Stanley Park as 'murderers' sickens me and makes me ashamed to be an Evertonian. What we have with the RS is a FOOTBALL rivalry, and if we have to stoop as low as having to refer to a tragic event some years ago to 'get at' them,God help us. It brands us all with the mentality of idiots, which hopefully we are not.Banners such as that mentioned above disgrace Everton, not the RS. Thirty nine human beings were killed...and I feel sympathy towards the families of these people, not venom towards anyone who's misguided actions might have caused the tragedy.Watching football was different in those days, with swaying masses of supporters crushed together in stadiums which sometimes could not take the pressure.Add to this the minority who have a mind set that tells them to destroy anything in sight, whether it be a shop window,a car,or a stadium wall, and there was a recipe for disaster which hopefully has now been eradicated. It is now safer to watch football, and the tragedies of Heysell,Hillsborough,Celtic,Bolton and Bradford and others are less likely to occur.So...fellow Evertonians...lets not stoop to a level that does us no favours. We are the best supporters in the land....lets prove it.

Mmm...fair comment, but there,s another dilusionist living on "fantasy island" the bitters will never change...and to prove my point he goes on to claim that they are the best supporters in the land?....i very much dispute that!. ???

Im afraid it will only fall on deaf ears, no chance of any of that bitterness stopping, maybe if they actually won something they would forget about us for a milliesecond.
But then they would go back to the norm, and it will go 10 times worst if they move to Kirkby and we have our new stadium in Stanley Park.

Huge Game, all right... Moyes' side are going to put pressure on us. So far, THEY have been better. But we have a game in hand! :)

Just seen this posted by i think a liverpool fan on Bluekipper it had me in stitches.

"I admire the effort gone into the making of this song, ha ha :censored:

To the tune of "You're Beautiful":

Your lives are worthless,
Your team is poor,
I saw your gaffer,
A gnome, I'm sure.

He frowned at me from his dosshole,
"Goodison the caravan",
But we won't lose no points to you,
Despite your best plan;

You're f*cking b*llocks.
You're f*cking b*llocks.
You're f*cking b*llocks, it's true.

We'll score a goal,
In your sh*thole,
And you won't know what to do,
When God scores number two.

Yes you caught my eye,
With your rancid pie,
I could see from your face that you were,
About to die,
And I don't think that we'll see you next year,
You'll be f*cked off to League one with good old Tranmere.

You're f*cking b*llocks.
You're f*cking b*llocks.
You're f*cking b*llocks, it's true.

We'll score a goal,
In your sh*thole,
And you won't know what to do,
When God scores number two.

Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t,
Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t,
Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, you're sh*iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttt!!!

You're f*cking b*llocks.
You're f*cking b*llocks. You're f*cking b*llocks, you pr*cks.

There sits good old Shankly,
With a smile on his face,
He and Bob are laughing about your pit...

Now it's time to face the truth,
Your club is f*cking sh*t"
