So basically people are saying they would rather not win it because it might mean rafa staying on . Turning down the chance of a european trophy in order to ensure more chance of rafa loosing his job. Also why is the Europa cup less prestigeous than the old uefa cup ?

40 MAJOR Titles. 8 of those European. 3 of that 8 were UEFA Cups.

1 possible opportunity left to win a trophy this season....

 Why do people do this? "So basically you are saying...." or "in other words you're saying" and then they write something which is different to what you've said  :D

Look, I'm not saying I'd "rather not win it because it might mean Rafa staying on ". What I am saying is that I hope we win it. If we do, I hope it doesn't mean Rafa gets another five seasons. If winning it meant Rafa was going to get another five seasons, I'd rather we didn't thanks.

The inability/unwillingness of some of the die hard RBFC supporters to understand the most basic of distinctions is quite funny at times it really is. Me, I'm not a RBFC supporter, I'm an LFC supporter and although I hope we win a trophy (any trophy, I've forgotten what it feels like to be honest), for the good of LFC I hope we get a new manager in the Summer.

I can't see why the RBFC supporters get so worked up about it, they can go off and follow whichever club their guru is charged with managing. It'll no doubt be one of the supreme clubs in Europe anyway, managers who can do what Rafa has done at LFC aren't exactly thick on the ground, and I mean it.

See that trophy in the background when the draw was being made? I challenge anyone who'd visit Anfield's trophy cabinate to not at least feel a little bit more pride in this club with another one of those fantastic looking ornaments sitting inside it. In fact I'd challenge the moaners and begrudgers on here, but that would be asking a bit too much.

Tis a fact mate it really is. For real fans, one European Fair play shield in four seasons (if indeed we do win it, I think we will) and one title challenge in six years is enough to elevate the manager to a seat alongside Shankly, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish in the hall of fame.

For others however they expect more, the ungrateful b@stards as someone said recently. RBFC season ticket holders on the other hand, seem to be able to take being out of the league after 8 matches, being out of the FA Cup at the hands of Reading at Home and being out of the Champions League at the first stage in their stride, without even so much as an ounce of sadness. Their stoicism knows no bounds, their stiff upper lippery not threatened for a second as they walk bravely on. Only the strongest and the blindest need apply.

Even a season long struggle to get above the powerhouses which are Birmingham isn't enough to interrupt their enless choruses of "I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm aitch ay pee pee, whyyyyyyyyyy".

Some good players in them photos. Quick question, is Danny Murphy a better footballer than Lucas?

To put it another way, we had an open top bus parade when we won the UEFA CUP......does anyone really think we should have a parade if we win the Europa League, or should we not leave that to small clubs like Everton.
