i know i am going to get shouted down for this but, if he is fit he should play. England need to win the games and i tell you what, it would be a very boring summer next year if England did not make it......sorry.

I don't have any problem with players going off to England as we don't play games at the same time. The concern is fatigue and injury. It is only Israel, I think the chances of us not beating them are the same with or without Gerrard ie we've got cr ap results with him in the team before. Russia is tougher but SGE showed what happens when you take injured players to finals

I'm not one of those who hope England don't qualify, but if we don't qualify and lose McClueless then it will be worth it. After all I think most will agree we have little chance of getting past the QFs, in fact he may do a Keegan and go out at the group stage (it was a tough draw but we threw it away thanks to playing cr ap players)

Did Newcastle not get compensation for injury to Michael Owen? I think we should tell the FA that we want him back fit to play the next match as he would be if he weren't playing for England, if not then we want £100k for every match he misses thereafter.

i really hope gerrard doesn't , take on rafa in a battle of club verse country on this and rush back and try to be the (beckham type) hero of the nation, because rafa will talk to the doctors and side with caution to have one of his most influential players fit ,for the large part of the season,

The fact is McClaren has nothing to lose by playing Stevie even if he isn't one hundred percent fit. But Liverpool do. Thats what pisses me off so much. Ginger cunt.
