Have we signed Edgar Davids? It is already in the papers this morning. It would be a fantastic signing and exactly the kind of player we need.

Seeing he is available on a free it would be a great signing!!! If we had to pay a transfer fee may be a different story, but seeign we dont GO AFTER HIM! he made the Barca midfield look great last year once he joined.. lets get two good years out of him and let him P&%S off to Qatar after that!!!!

I think Liverpool’s presence in the Champions League tipped the balance in their favour, though — and now Davids hopes to seal a £30,000-a-week deal in a few days’ time. I heard Davids turned down Inter Milan. He was also being chased by three Spanish clubs and is fancied by Spurs. But to me they will go through with the two-year deal despite Gerrard’s shock decision to stay at Anfield. And i personally think Liverpool first went for Davids when they thought Steven Gerrard was heading for Chelsea. David once said that he's been linked with a move to England for a long time and maybe it’s the right time now, and that he has received two very interesting offers from England and will announce a decision in the next few days. I read that chief executive Rick Parry convinced Benitez that his bulldog style would be perfect for the Premiership. I reckon new Kop boss Rafael Benitez was initially reluctant to sign a player with a history of red cards, who was also banned in Italy after failing a drugs test. In my knowledge, Davids, 31, is a free agent after seeing out his contract at Italian giants Juventus and is keen to finish his career in England. Liverpool are poised to clinch the signing of Dutch midfield maestro Edgar Davids — despite concerns over his dodgy disciplinary record.

Banana do you really belive anything in the SUN!!!!!!!
That whole article mad me chuckle as it is so ridiculous!
Parry telling Benitez who to buy?
Gerrards Shock decision to stay at Liverpool!
LOL

I would rather see other players ahead of Davids
Rosicky has really Euro Championship
His got very good movement, passes well, has great technique, he can shoot, works hard for the team and i have seen him put the boot in once or twice and for a man of his size that is comendable!

Yeah I'd love to see Rosicky here, last night against Greece was the first time I really got to see him in these Championships... I seemed to keep missing the Czech Republic matches thru work..... I thought he was excellent and I'd love to see him and Stevie G int the midfield together

Id still have him over Hamann. Hamann is overrated

we definately need 2 class midfielders, other wise, Cisse/Owen/Baros are not gonna get any service.

There will only be stevie G to put the balls through.

I say, break the bank for Nedved, or someone else.

I like Davids and feel he would do well in the premiership. He is a ferocious tackler, good passer, has the skill to go past people, has a good engine and the energy levels that Hamman doesn't have. (and he looks great in the Nike adverts :D ) I would be chuffed to see him at Anfield and i think the fans would like him. However, any rumour coming from the Sun must be taken with a cup of salt. I still think the manager will try and bring in Baraja or Albelda from his old stomping ground.

davids would be a good signing as long as his wage demands are not too high. i doubt we have actually made enquiries though. davids said his preferred choice of destination was spurs which indicates that we probably aren't interested. why would he choose spurs over the biggest club in england (just ask cisse) and champions league football?

The main issue I see is his tempremant he does come with a reputation but if the rumours are true then Benitez must reckon he can handle him
