That little fat bluenose ****** is a bollox.

My score on Baros at 50/1 was lookin so good.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

that really pisses me off, how can you compare rooney with pele?  the only player that can be compared with pele is maradona and nobody else. you cant say that rooney is in the same league as these two. no doubt that rooney will be a great player but he will never be as good as pele or maradona he just doesnt have that south american flair in his genes that make these two so great.

remenber in 98 when owen was also said to be the next pele? hes not even close.

utter ******

chech this quote--

"LIKE PELE

Like Pele, Rooney was born in humble surroundings, in the working class district of Croxteth in Liverpool. Like Pele he made his professional debut for his club side in his mid-teens.

Rooney was just 16 when he first played in Everton's first team and has since become England's youngest ever player and youngest scorer."

right i lived in brazil for ten years and i know how it is like in brazil and to say the both players come from similar surroundings is rubbish.  Did rooney when he was younger have to play with coconuts wraped in cloth just because he couldnt afford a football, did he have to eat  just one slice of bread a day for most of his childhood because his family was so poor. did rooney have to beg in the streets for food, i very much doubt it. these are the things that makes pele and most brazilian players the best in the world because football is their only way out of this life. and to say rooney come from this similar backround is just ignorant.

Q: You're trapped in a room with a tiger, a rattlesnake, and a Manchester United Fan. You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?

A: Shoot the United Fan. Twice.

Rooney is playing like a man (sorry, boy) possessed and the media will be happy to àdd to his reputation and build him into something he is not.  Now that the Beckham circus has peaked, the boy wonder is like manna from heaven for the tabloids......but just watch the same tabloids try and knock him down.

When he has his first night on the beer the tabloids will be there to make the comparisons wth Gazza.
When he has his next goal drought they'll be questioning if Portugal was a flash in the pan
If he moves to another club for crazy money and if it doesn't work out they'll call him a misfit
If he burns in his mid twentys they'll be saying "too much too soon"
......and if his career never takes off after Portugal they'll be asking us what the fuss was about.

.....apparently he arrived to the t.v. station hung over for one of the games, so he got sent home.  Trevor Steven ended up being the sole analyst for the game and boy is he boring.
