He is good, but Liverpools best i dont know about that, dont forget those keepers out on loan which are doing a fine job.

We only have one keeper out on loan now mate, Kirkland has left.
Dudek is not as good a keeper as Reina or Carson. We are fine in that area imo.

  Forgot about Kirkland thanks Ace. :D

True.. with the likes of the names mentioned there, he doesnt hold a candle to any  of them realistically.  Perhaps the term 'Legendary' was used loosely i agree. Dudek though for all his faults - and there are several in his make-up;  at the end of his time here will be considered very much along mediocre lines.  but in terms of the sheer impact his influence had on that Final and to the victory. You have to say, the double-save in Extra-time alone was worthy of such distinction....to this day and beyond, you will not witness a 'snapshot' in time of more critical significance. That's what i wanted to say m8.

In that case Smicer is also a 'legend' then  :D

I see what your saying really mate, by the way dont write m8 on your posts or jonnymac goes mental  :D

no one can accuse me of favouring text-speak Ace......bollox, yes.   :D

he`s a legend in my book, he won us our 5th european cup for christ sake the one that now sits proudly in our trophy room. he made one of the greatest saves ever that night, and dont give no cr@p that it was luck, did banks mean to send the ball over the bar when he saved from pele, no, he stuck an arm out like dudek the ball hit it and the rest is history.

for that one night and what it meant to all of us and the club the guy deserves it. for as long as liverpool football club exists people will tell stories of that night and the heroics he performed. he might not go down in history as one of the greatest keepers but how many keepers have had a night like that.

and yes he should play against Gala.

Regarding the Champions' League money, you get so much for the group stage, win, lose or draw, then more in the second round, and so on.

It won't matter if we get hammered 19-0 - we won't lose money.

(They players might afterwards, though, drowning their sorrows in the boozer! :D)

Alessandro - will you please stop talking cack?

I hope he decides to stay... a great servant of the club... regardless of the ocassional blunder he committed..... never heard any complaints from Jerzy bout being dropped after the signing of Reina.....

However being am ambitious proffesional, I would certainly understand it if he decides to leave....

Jerzy,

If you do decide to go, I for one would like to wish the best in whatever new endeavour you decide.... Istanbul will alawys live on in my memories and your contribution on that night as well.... Cheers mate...
