Thanx for the kind words Peter and taking your time out to register on the forum.
Phil was a gem he will be sadly missed by us all who never knew him, and by those of you who did.
Please accept our sympathy for you losing your brother at such a young age.
One consolation is there is one more angel in heaven and maybe one day we will all meet up again.

All the forum should personally thank Zara for all her hard work in contacting the club on a few occasions and arranging the flowers for tuesday. And Leon who made a tribute banner for Phil top people.
If anyone would like to donate to Karen into the account and Im sure it would help her and the kids just before Christmas time as their bread winner has passed on.
No matter how small every little bit would help.

PAYPAL DONATIONS FOR KAREN TO BE SENT TO karenlroberts@hotmail.co.uk

It's only a very small gesture on my behalf but I'd like to dedicate my 8000th post to Drummerphil's memory, I couldn't think of a better person to dedicate it to, he will always be remembered on here as a caring, funny and overall top bloke. He willl truly never walk alone, RIP Phil.

On a side note, I am in awe of the compassion of people like Zara and Leon going to all that work, it's very admirable. This forum is a very special one, in fact it's more than just a football forum. Anyone who tells me you can't make friends on the interent only needs to look at this forum to see how wrong they are.

I didn't choose you for myself
God did that you see
He knew what he was doing
It was our destiny

In his greatest wisdom
He knew that we would see
The strength in unconditional love
That expands eternity.

If time were to be measured
The years we had were few
But I thank God for all of them
And a brother such as you!

I would just like to say thank you to all of you people on here, for the support you showed my big brother, throughout his battle with cancer. He thought the world of you all! I will miss him as long as I live, and he will always be in my heart.

Hi Michelle, a beautiful poem and very moving words..........

A love of Liverpool Football Club was what brought Phil and his many friends on here together. We'll miss his sense of humour, his honesty and the incredible bravery he showed when facing up to his condition.

I was honoured to share a small part of his life on here and I'm sure you are incredibly proud of Phil as a brother.

RIP my friend

that's a heart-wrenching read Michelle. but a joy to behold, those words of love offered to a lost soul that asked no more than the chance to have lived his short life with such a strong loving bond surrounding him...clearly Phil had that and more.

on a personal note: should my own little sister ever find cause to take the trouble in making such an eloquent tribute on my behalf...i would no doubt claim to have been an extremely proud brother indeed. your words have genuinely moved me to tears. im also a 38 year old man, lucky to have been given many more chances than ive possibly deserved.. but, how Phil and his daily struggles with such a terrible, devastating illness have humbled the very bones of me and i suspect many a fella who comes on here.

God bless you and the rest of your family. try and take some small crumb of comfort from this short phrase: " What we achieve in life...Echoes in eternity"  never ever forget that.
