thanks to whomever set up the fund -- well mine took a circuitous route -- $cdn to $us to sterling well that worked

bless you phil

an aside -- since we are raising funds worldwide could we not set up a fund for others -- seems we have mobilized an army

Jeez, I hope that got through OK...it may be my age but all of a sudden I'm feeling dazed and confused on these new fangled ideas!!!

Best wishes Phil, Karen & family. YNWA

It's a shame that circumstances such as these seem to be the only thing that can bind people together and get them to see the 'big picture'. Oh well, better this than nothing.

Hi

I come on here to have some friendly banter (im West Ham)
but started reading this thread about DrummerPhil, feel truly gutted for the bloke, it really is a shame these things always happen to the decent people in life.

My best wishes go to Phil,Mrs Phil and all connected with Phil, lets hope he gets to see the final on Saturday

All the best to you all, lets hope its a good game, i will be there, but to be honest im just glad we can shut the so called pundits up saying we were going right back down.....good season for us, really dosen't matter about the result on Saturday.

All the best, and good luck to Phil and his family

CAUTION

i set up my paypal account and today via my email i recieved a phish from paypal, it was a scam email asking for my paypal details (you know the form, you give your details and they empty you bank). its looks authetic so be careful.

i am luck that i use netscape so as soon as i opened the link from the email it told me it as from an ip under investigation for fraud.  if anyone else receives this email ignore it.

I wouldn't worry about Paypal being unsafe- i've used it for years and never had a problem- and it's now one of the biggest payment methods worldwide!!

Like anything- don't pass your bank details through any email link that 'asks' for it. I must get three of these requests a day from Barclays (at least it looks and claims to be). I just delete them!

Just remember  a small amount like £10 or £20 can make a really big difference, it's amazing that we have people who have never posted before donating some cash to help Phil and his family!

don't worry:: paypal is very safe-- just be careful-- i had a group sending me phish everyday for a while and they were very good-- send any suspicious emails to spoof@paypal.com

they take it quite seriously BUT it is quite secure and DO NOT give any personal info to an email always go to their secure
site

don't let fear get in your way it is very safe - i've used it for years

forgive me for :bump this again..now it looks as though all things related are in this thread.  besides none of you flamed it last time  :D

for drummerphil...

now back in 59 when the king was in his prime..
a fire breathing warrior from glenbuck he had arrived...
he led the mighty reds back up onto the mountain high
then stood there with his arms outstretched and he began to cry....

CHORUS  "oh we hail from fortress anfield we are riding out at dawn
the rest of them will fear the hand that wields a mighty sword
and be prepared for battle men, as one by one shall fall
we'll take the cup and bow before the redmen on the ball.."

uncle bob took up his arms and carried on the fight..
a wiser man could not be found in any kind of light...
and when the liverbird she rose above the roman skies..
we sang our hearts out with our voices full of joyful pride...

CHORUS...

a new king had replaced the old and kenny was his name
a smile so bright a heart so strong and oh how could he play...
the fair green fields of pastures far were witness to the day..
when history was made upon the steps of wembley way...

CHORUS:

now rafa rules his empire with a will as strong as iron.
a humble soul beats out the tempo each step along the line.
and when the day of triumph is once more within our sights..
we'll all stand up and punch the air thats filled with blood red fire ..

CHORUS:

and when we hold within our hearts the spoils of victory
the taste of wine upon the lips of men will be so sweet.
and surely as the hands of time, the turning of the wheel.
our friends will never be alone, together we will sing..

CHORUS: to fade

**********************************************

COME ON PHIL!  COME ON YOU REDS!

there are stars above that cannot fade...
so many hands to guide our way
the path maybe  long, though throughout all this..
a single thought is never missed...

Good luck Drummerphil, I wish you all the best and my prayers are with you.

I remember one night when a few of the guys on here hijacked a Man Utd forum (The mission was led by RAFABENITEZ!) and Phil got on there too and he had me in rolling around with some of the stuff he was coming out with, really funny.

All the best Phil my thoughts are with you  :bowdown
