One time me and about twenty lads where playing on Buckley Hill playing fields, near me and he was on the field. My mate went to get the ball after a wayward shot and was talking to him.

Obviosly you dont start shouting "run its friggin purple-aki" but we where thinking it. Then my mate came back and told us that Purple-aki told him he was a scout and liked the look of him and wanted him to come for some trials ! !

Oh and yes, he did say "your muscular, do you go the gym ?" just before feeling my mates muscles.

Always thought Jaffa was a Bootle lad.

Never saw Purple-aki in Netherton, only in Town.

Whatever happened to Flat nose and Blackbeard?

just asked me mum about jaffa she said they lived on the easby estate whole family had red hair :laugh:

i think his sister went to notre dame few years younger than me, but she was the spit of him :laugh:

I know it well, we used to make our own houses out of the bricks when they where building it.

Used to live in Assissian Crescent, now live opposite Dodge City...
