Too soon to say depends on if we get a manager and players that want to win lets wait to see what happens
We need a manager and players that believe they could win no matter what we think if they don't believe it theres no hope

I think 3rd next season, that's all I hope for. 4th will do if it looks like our side has gained something.

Where did you read that they will name new manager tonight? If it is Benitez.. didnt we have to wait for 14 days for that clause in his contract to kick in? Surely Valencia will not sell ayala, aimar to us... they did not split on great terms and although they are in debt that is how they will entice their new manager (Raneiri) with talent like these two!!

I think we'll come very close but Arsenal and Chelsea are the teams to beat. Manure now have there 2nd coach back so will be back challenging. I can't wait for it all to kick off.

to be realistic..i think we have to give our new manager 2 years to be considered real title challengers and 3 years to win it....so if we dont win the title in 2007...we should sack the new fella too

No, not next season.  Lets face it, one year from now is when we should take stock, see where we should go from there.  We need to step up a level to catch Arsenal.

I think it all depends on what signings the new manager brings in.

I think we'll have a better season but it's a very big ask to expect us to win the league next season.

That would be a massive ask. I simply want to see a REAL improvement in our football team.

Saying that, didn't Wenger win the League with Arsenal in his 1st season? Not saying it's gonna happen but with the spine of our team + some choice additions and a manger witht the Midas touch it isn't impossible.

Just very unlikely

we won't win the league next season no matter who the manager is, but as a fan i don't expect us to. i merely expect us to put up a decent challenge to the top three and be in with a chance going into the final stretch, not out of the race by october.

a decent run in the champions league would also be an added bonus. if we can get through the group stage then i think we could do quite well.

Totally agree StMichael/Scottbot just to be in touch with the top three would be an improvment.

And hopefully the team will play positive attacking football. PLEASE

If we finish 9 points behind Arsenal I'd be well chuffed. Wether we finish 2nd or 4th.
