No Gary, there is still country protection for the first knockout stage, however it comes off at the quarter-final stage.

We ahev no country protection for the entire tournament, so in answer to your question greenred, I believe we can draw Arsenal or Manure (IF they qualify - Forca Benfica!).  :D

Arsenal finished top of their group so we won't meet them in the first knockout stage anyway.

Teams we can be drawn with:

Real Madrid
Rangers
PSV
Ajax
2nd place group C - msot likely Udinese
Bayern/Juve
2nd place Group D-  could be anybody in that group, including Manure

Hey there,

Teams from the same countries can't be drawn together in the next round.
But they can in the quarter-finals.

No way. I am.
I want Rangers too!
And I want to be first in our round-robin.
Then, we're gonna have to take care about Chelsea or Man Utd.
Just kidding guys, but Juve are pretty impressive this year.
I still want Rangers though....  :D

we don't have country protection, but we cannot be drawn against Chel$ki or Arsenal.  That leaves the bloody Manc's, if they even make it.
