Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby maypaxvobiscum » Mon Aug 17, 2009 4:26 pm

hey guys, any news over in UK about this petition thats growing on the internet regarding some local band in singapore and Liverpool? what happened was, there's this band, which did an interview with the newspaper and during the interview, they were asked by the journalist to pose for a photo which depicts them stepping on a Liverpool jersey. and shockingly, one of the 3 band members happens to be a Liverpool fan, or so he says.  :no whats happening now is that the Reds here are demanding a public apology. here's a link of the  petition

It's no wonder we get labelled as whingers when there are petitions like this. The lad obviously isn't a true fan and if his band mates aren't then so what?

Are we gonna get petitions against everyone in the world who disrespects us?

If some stupid mong wanted to stand on a jersey in front of me, I'd do nothing to be honest with you.

Well thats your choice , i personally wouldn't , if that had happened in England , you guys would have been screaming and demanding an apology from the band .

Umm i dont think people would demand anything and would certainly wouldnt start some online petition . More important things around than that .

What would you do if you saw someone do it ? go over and demand they say sorry ? come on enter the real world

The point is, Liverpool is often disrespected in the national media. Andy Gray does it every commentary, most of todays' papers are writing us off. We don't make petitions against them all do we?

If someone did it in front of me I'd get on with my life. For every petition like that it devalues truly worthy causes (eg against Steve Cohen).
