If thats the case.....then don't you think he should be dropped...and eased back into the team as his form picks up ?  ???

Yeah.....babel. He has been somewhat on a roll...taking on players, running with the ball....scoring an awesome goal...So why don't we just give him a go there ?

And if benitez ain't down with babel...then i don't know....we could give johnson a go at the right wing (giving martin kelly the right back role if he recovered).

I know we have limited options now (who can we blame for this....  :p )...but something has to be done. We can't continue carrying kuyt when he is in such a woeful form thats for sure.

Alonso after having a kick up his ar$e produced an awesome performance last season.... I think Kuyt also need one of these (ie....dropped until he gets back to form).

There's a case to be made for consistency in as many positions as possible. His workrate is invaluable, he isn't having a blinding season but I still think people underrate his contributions all-round.

If we put Babel in the side all the whinging would switch to him, I wish some on here would quit blaming the usual suspects and perhaps realise some of their gods are as culpable as the scapegoats.

Babel's no winger, on the left or the right.

Actually, if we had decent cover for the RB position, I'd drop Kuyt and ask Johnson to move into the wing for a few games.

For me Babel is a right winger/Striker he is never in 1,000,000 years a left winger he really is lost out there. Its not hard to spot reallly.Problem is he always cuts inside I think because he don't trust his left foot.Is this his fault ? No.We have seen more from him on the right and up front tho like most young players at his age being consistent isn't their stong points , more so if being asked to do things they don't believe they can do.If Rafa wanted him to be a left winger he should have bought him 2 years earlyer and trained him that way.

I agree, but Kuyt is somehow undropable.

Why not give Babel the chance?
He is clearly much better at right wing than left as he has show he can get crosses in from the right.
If Kuyt could get a run for 4 month when he was totally worthless a few seasons back why no afford Babel this luxury?
Babel is one for the future, has bags of potential, rocket of a shot and pace to burn. Kuyt has none of those attributes.

Because even while kuyt was off form in the scoring department he was still contributing and working hard for the team - something babel is incapable off - babel doesnt deserve to be given a chance in place of kuyt .

Kuyt hasnt quite come close to his match winning performances last season ,so lets advocate an individual (because that's the tag Babel deserves INDIVIDUAL) as Dirks respective replacement , Ok Kuyt hasn't been setting Anfield alight with his displays ,but he is always there to be shot at and is a team player  ,unlike the elusive Babel who consistently eradicates any form of cohesion or positional sense completely from his game .

Babel is the complete epitome of the rot in the Dutch game ,the National team is brimming with individual talent ,but zero team spirit at least we have a player in kuyt who bucks that trend ...  ???

I like Kuyt, always put's in 100 % where ever you played him. I rate him above Voronin and to be honest Babel. But I think you make a good point.
A lot of people question Johnstons defending, move him forward to the right side of midfield and bring on a right back to play behind him. Kuty should play alongside Torres With his workrate and effort he unerves defenders and would make space for Torres. Gerrard should move back into midfield with Mascherano. I is/was the best central midfielder in the world but since he's been played just behind Torres he can become invisible and not be involved in the game, sacralidge I know to say that but it's how I feel. With him being in midfield it would alos help to protect the defence who seem to be leaking goals this season, and he still gets his share of goals from midfield.

Heres the break down for the flying Dutchman after watching him for a few years now

Workrate
10/10

Attitude
9/10

Skill
1/10

Speed
7.5/10

Creativity
-2/10

Luck
7/10

Overall
7 out of 10

Not a pretty player & very frustrating to see so many wasted passes & crosses. He does score but half the time he does not how he did it or got lucky. He adds a great work rate but don't think workrate alone should get you a first team spot, imagine if most of the first team had great work rate and no skill on the ball it would be a bumbling shambles.

Pennant was a much more talented player despite his off-field antics.

If that's the case, why does he play there for Holland and why did he play in that position when we signed him?

It does make me chuckle that there are people out there who think that a player with 10% skill can play for one of the biggest clubs in World football and hold down a position in one of the strongest national teams.

Hilarity does not come better than that!
