you know its always easier to let the noise quieten by itself

as for Kuyt, the lads an asset, he lives for this club, gives his all, makes and creates some very imposrtant goals so lets give him a break?

Not when the noise is just a constant drone day and night mate.
I am not arguing about that mate. I am arguing that he is not as important a player as Gerrard or Torres.

well athos and porthos are both here im sure aramis will turn up soon . The thing about kuyt saint is rafa knows he doesnt need resting much nor subbed and is always first choice so think that in itself shows how much rafa rates him and shows how highly he thinks off him . No doubt the normal clever answers of "he must be rafas love child " or the old classics of "he must have some great pics of rafa " will no doubt appear but the proof is there for all to see . Think it was an interview after a game around march time when rafa himself stated on sky to millions of people he considers kuyt to be one of the most important players in the squad and just as important as torres and gerrard and think he also mentioned pepe . Also think torres has definatly stated he wouldnt of got as many goals if kuyt hadnt of played and gerrard a number of times has himself stated how good kuyt is and how important he is but they are all insane off course and dont know what they are talking about

Try telling that to GYBS, and you may find yourself in a senseless argument yourself   :D

Xabi creates or is creative but he doesn't score enough goals...

Dirk scores and assists but he's not creative...

Now there's a pattern isn't there? What do these people want? a feckin Diego Maradona or a Roberto Baggio?  :D

Maybe you are onto something there mate. Perhaps as you say thats the reason we didn't win the league last season?

Where can we find today's Maradona and Baggio though?

I think we have already got them or their nearest equivolent in Gerrard and Torres. Now we just need to strengthen the players around them a little.

I don't think so mate... we really need a creative attacking player... the likes of bebeto, robinho, etc... if only we can afford robinho he will fit in just nice in our team...

Yes words like sh.t cr.ap inept useless twa.t pathetic embarresment , excuse of a football etc etc have been used by people on here to describe kuyt .

Don't forget ugly  :D

In all seriousness two years ago when Kuyte's father died and he had a poorer season he got slagged off constantly (some football and some personal) even though he never stopped giving it his all by supposed supporters. Some clever poster even suggested we sell him for 5 million (a big loss) without hesitation, the same poster that seemed shocked when we sold Keane (at a lesser loss).

I like these long threads because you see just how full of sh1t some people are.

:D dear oh dear.

I don't mind you having a different opinion, I just find it objectionable when you try to make out that MY OPINION is different than what I put.

having said that, a spectacular goal from that distance has to demoralise a team. alonso did it against luto, and we won by a country mile, beckham did for the mancs against wimbledon, and they crumbled.

so a spectacualr goal can change the whole dimension of a game.

cast your mind back when stevie g scored against olympiakos that helped us thru, when all was dead and buried

What amazes me about some "so called fans" (sorry I couldn't resist) is even though we've just sold Alonso for twice as much as we were hawking him around Europe for 12 months ago, they still don't get the concept of a players value fluctuating. Even though we spunked 8 million quid on keane in about 7 months due to a fluctuation in form/a chronically bad decision to sign him ion the first place, even though we've spunked a large part of the 7 million quid we paid for Dossena, they still don't get it.

It works like this lads. If you buy a striker to score goals, and he proves to be not very good at it, you can take it as red that his value goes down. If he subsequently scores goals and does a decent job at right midfield, his value goes up    If you buy a left back who is useless, his value goes down. If he subsequently plays well at left mid, his value climbs. I ask these people sometimes to post about football, but really I should just leave them in their own little world. Totally, absolutely and completely devoid of any clue whatsoever    .
