Its a sign of good team that can play that badly and STILL get the result that it needed.  We already had a plus 6 goal difference against them most teams wont get more  than 7 so taking all 6 points from Derby is all you CAN do.  At the end of the day it doesn't matter that we played like cr@p, because we have shown that we are capable of turning right around and playing some inspiring football again.  Rafa might have gotten lucky today or gotten away with it today, but he DID get lucky and DID get away with it.  Now we just need to focus on putting the best possible team out there to win at City.

If anyone is guilty of having a shocker, it was Vornin. He was far too tepid in his approach on goal and made a mess of a few of these lay-offs that Babel made. Instead of attacking, he passes backwards. Reminds me too much of Kuyt. These two should be sold if possible. Babel will need time. For anyone to suggest he isn't good enough or a waste of money is just madness considering he's only played a bit part role for barely half a season. Sometimes our supporters are just to quick to dismiss a player, which is wrong.

To be fair he didn't play well.. I don't think anyone want to dismiss him. He cost so much. If he performs everyone loves him if not we need to know why.

Pointing the obvious doesn't necessary mean we don't like him.. some perspective from another side is needed. Liverpool has always been giving their players plenty of time. Sometime we need to sit back and ask ourself, of those how many actually pays off?

Babel up front cannot do anyworse than what we already have.

Of course its nice to win when playing badly however my concern is the reason we play badly is cos the players just aint up to it.

So what you're actually saying is that Alonso should be at the top of his game despite the fact it's his first Premiership game after a long injury layoff??

You clearly know nothing about football and you certainly must never have played the game you

Your spot on there .....

You cant just say if your a quality player and you come back after an injury you haave to be on top of ur game ....

Its almost funny that people can slag of alonso when he was class last season....

I cant :censored: believe some people on hear. Before the game people were posting Rafa had chose a strong line up, for me it was good enough to beat Derby in the first half, After we scored we seemed to lose focus the players lost focus Rafa wasnt playin. Our passing was poor and finishing was schoolboy. Today we played poor but still got 3 points People were screaming for this player and that player to come on, and when they did.it didnt make a blind bit of diference we had a mare today end of .

Im still in Rafas corner but you have to give some credit to Paul  Jewell to day hes got that Derby team fighting for there lives .

And by the way Lakes shut up about Klinsman please no :censored: chance.

Slating Alonso?

:no

It's his first Premiership start for months FFS, he's hardly going to be at the top of his game

Slating him? I am just telling it like it is.
If he can't be on top of his game then he better prepare to take some stick. This is no reason, it is just an excuse..

he's not even a fan , read his previous post , he's a very begative person

True.. 3 points is 3 points.
But it comes a time when you will be asking yourself how many times this whole phrase will be repeated through a PL campaign before you realised that we should be doing better instead of this. Why 3 points is 3 points and we scrapped thru so we should be happy.. then another 3 points is 3 points.. then another 3 points is 3 points... and another...

Don't we all deserve something else? Isn't Liverpool better than this? Just a thought...

well happy with the 3 points today, you can't be tw@ting teams every week, played badly but come away with 3 points, just move on and thank ourselves lucky we won and took advantage of the russians slip up, maybe Arsenal will drop points and the whole situation will look a lot better
