Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

add Fowler to the list too...

fat, unfit and has not looked a Premier league player for YEARS now.  Yes he got a goal today, but what the FOOK did he do for the rest of the match?  Unless the ball is in front of him in the box, he disapears.  Tonight, I didn't hear his name mentioned for the majority of the match and he was out of his depth against Arsenal KIDS!

Robbie...you may have proved me wrong when you first arrived, but now you've proved me right.  You add nothing to LFC and you've a shadow the the player who left for Leeds.

Dudek and Fowler are deadwood and need chopping ASAP

Robbie does his best, but if Dudek's hands allow solid matter to pass through them, then there's nothing Robbie can do about it.

You can say i'm being harsh on Paletta but what exactly is he good at?

All I saw last night was a defender will zero composure on the ball, cannot header, a is apparently unaware that you don't have to dive in on every challenge which subsequently leaves him exposed everytime. Shocking.

There was one good thing he did - a cross that led to the 3rd goal. But then I ask why the hell was he on the left wing??

I say cut our loses and push Jack Hobbs through the ranks.

Paletta is too slow.  Not quixk enough.  Pace allows you to recover, without it you are prety much screwed unless you reading of the game is spot on.

Dudek was poor but he isnt to blame for the last 2 defeats.

I agree with the people who reckon Paletta will never develop into anything other than an average player, he never showed any promise last night and looked way out of his league against arsenals youth team, so what is it going to be like against Henry, Rooney, Drogba etc  :help, as for Dudek he looks like a player who can't be arsed and i believe either Reina or even Carson would have stopped at least 6 of the 9 conceded in the last two games (thanks for Istanbul) but i hope he never plays for liverpool again

Paletta actually got 2 assists but managed to put in one of the worst defensive performances i have seen in a red shirt since Bjorn tore Kvarme in the derby against Cademarteri.
He is positionally poor, doesnt spot danger quick enough and rash with challenges.
I havent seen anything of him to suggest he is premiership quality, never mind LFC quality.
I dont care about age, he may get better with experience...but not that much.
Kewell_7, Fowler is a shade of the player that was here previously, but you have been desperate to slate him every since you had kicked off about him coming back (and then looked stupid when he scored vital goals), forwards need matches to be sharp and he hasnt had any, he was up against some fantastic young players who are all great athletes....which i would agree he is isnt, but he did score, AGAIN, and that makes it 5 for the season, when he has started about 4 games...not too bad a ratio that is it ?

Robbie may be a shade of the player he was! But what a Striker coach he would make!  :bowdown

I agree mate, his movement and finishing are different class.
He may struggle to get round the pitch, but he didnt let anyone down last season and scored some crucial matchwinning goals.
I hope he does stay on in a coaching capacity as its obvious to anyone that he doesnt want to be anywhere else.

Now FUCK OFF and go to a club who cares.

Some people have short memories....

Why? because he had a great game once a couple of years ago and it just so happened to be in th CL final? He was also having very poor games back then too. I appreciate what he has done for this club but we all need to stop living in the past.

A bit harsh on Paletta, even though he was woeful. Hyypia hardly helped the young lad did he? He was just as bad. The midfield also offered no protection whatsoever for the back four.

Dudek wasn't great in the CL final either. He made one good save in the last minute and did exceptional in the penalties but don't forget the actual match himself. His positional play is poor - remember Carra Screaming at him?

Anyway there are about 6 (at least) who should go.

Rafa purchasing has been fairly poor overall - with the odd exception. I still think he is questionable but that if he finishes top 4 every season then we can judge him after 5 years in the job.

Dudek has to go and i think deep down wants to go!!

Palleta very poor, makes traore look like Carra. saying that Traore would have prob kept score down to at least 4. May be!!

Peltier poor not good enough for this club.

Guthrie poor not good enough again for this club you have it or you don't. John welsh was much better!!

As somebody pointed out ,this was an opportunity for fringe players to step up and show the manager why they should be included in the first 11 . As far as our players are concerned all they did was show the manager how much they lack .

Guthrie , Peltier, Palletta , light years away (maybe never)  from being ready for the first 11. Dudek and Warnock have if anything gone backwards

Of the more established players , Robbie stills retains the brain and skill but not the pace and stamina , don't see him playing for us beyond this season.

Finally will somebody sit down and explain the f'ucking offside rule to Bellamy  Time after time after time he's out of the gate a split second to soon , give him full marks for effort but a k'ick up the a'rse for application .   :veryangry

Bellamy plays on the shoulder and will always be offside sometimes.
