Aparently he'll have to pass yet another medical today(Liverpool want to be 100% sure that he has recovered completely from his recent knee-injury) -according to Danish TV2.

Just in

Liverpool Football Club have completed the signing of defender Daniel Agger from Brondby and hope to parade him to the media later today.

Agger will be ineligible to play in the Champions League having featured for Brondby in the UEFA Cup already this season

We'll keep you informed of any quotes etc as the day goes on.

"Liverpool have completed the signing of Danish international Daniel Agger.

Agger has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at Anfield after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Liverpool agreed a fee with Brondby on Wednesday and they have quickly tied up a deal for the promising central defender.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez has been chasing a new defender all season and he has finally landed his man.

Agger is Liverpool's second new signing during this month's transfer window following the arrival of Jan Kromkamp and he could make his debut against Tottenham this weekend."

It seems a bit premature to give him his debut so soon. I remember when all new signings played a few games in the reserves first.

I think we'll have to wait til Summer for that.
I reckon that's it for this transfer window. Would be nice to get a winger but I think Rafa will make do.

im pleased we have signed a young defender most of all to be honest, one for the future and he is good at the mo which is even better

thing that worries me, well concerns, is the fact that Rafa has said "people have been talking of him for 20 years" but he's only 21

I thought the quote was that people in Denmark say he best central defender in the last 20 years
