Roger Red Hat » Thu Apr 12, 2012 3:22 pm wrote:Here's the scenario...

Kenny loses Torres - fuk.  Right, Kenny needs a striker, likes the look of Carroll, on form, banging in the goals. Kenny tells Comolli, comolli then goes and gets his man. John Henry picks up the tab. So Kenny might have spotted Carrol but Comolli is responsable and at fault for the high price we paid and John Henry is fuking nuts to pay it but he has already decided he'll pay over the odds for a comolli player.

So I'm thinking Kenny had nothing really to do with Carroll signing. Had comolli come back and said " We can have carroll for £15 million" then all would of been well. Kenny had NO control over the inflated price. If John Henry would of said to Kenny "we can get carroll for £35 million" I'm sure Kenny would've declined it.

seem but be a lot of truth in that now, in fact when you think about it we know know why kenny was not worried about how much he cost and how bad he was.....he did not set the price ok give the ok he just said he looks a good player.

if we were in 2nd or 3rd place right now instead of halfway down the league i bet they`d all still have jobs now, it`s a tough game and an unfair one at times.

Seems like it was the lawyer and doctor that are being blamed for the Andy Carroll signing !

Natalie Wignall, Liverpool’s in-house lawyer, has been relieved of her duties as the Anfield cull continues.
Wignall is not believed to have handled the recent racism rows to the best of her ability, in particular the Suarez case which engulfed the club and resulted in an 8-game ban for the striker.
FSG have already announced three departures today, and are keen to take care of any other business while on English soil.

i think they went because we conceded 3 in 10 minutes against QPR, i think the tea lady is getting the blame for the inflated price we paid for carroll!  :D

I never understood why we needed a Director of Football in all honesty, I remember the time when the manager would tell the Chief Executive who he wanted and the club would open negotiations shortly afterwards, or in Parry's case when he came back from his holiday. I'm not sad to see Comolli go, but I do wish him all the best for the future and to those who wish to see the end to the role of Director of Football will be disappointed to hear that FSG (according to quotations attributed to Tom Werner) are not planning to disencumber the role of Director of Football, so I expect FSG will appoint a 'suitable' replacement soon enough.

good sign in my opinion his signings were so inflated and not worth the money, someone new and a fresh approach is a good thing, hopefully when kenny says get me him and their not worthy of liverpool the new guy will persuade him not to go through with it.

plus shows that the owners aren't taking any *****

I dont know whats more worrying, the fact that Kenny openly admitted that the signings were his or the fact that people are still trying to debate the issue. As far as Comolli is concerned, cant say I'm too bothered he's been sacked. Hopefully we bring in a decent head scout in his position instead of a 'director of football' to avoid any confusion in the future .

Wow! just when you thought you'd weathered the storm the sweet silver sound of the lark is miles away again!  this could have waited until after the semi final and hopefully the final of the FA Cup! instead, it's all been done and in the papers tomorrow we are going to take the back and front pages by storm again!!!!  and for all the wrong reasons! again!!!!!  im so sick of this! when will it end! i watched the 2005 CL final, again, the other day and it took me back to a time when we were there or there abouts! a few good transfer windows and we could have challanged for the title! built a new stadium and pushed on! fast forward 7 years and nothing! i love LFC and im sick of our name being dragged through the mud!!!
