I doubt it but so fecking what. Do you guys think that Rafa gives two sh1ts what my opinion of him is? Much in the same way that I don't care what the majority of you guys think of me, I only value the judgement of people I respect and as Rafa and Kenny don't even know who the hell we are then why would they care.

Anyone who abuse the manager personally is a WUM of the highest order.

But if you go and criticise the manager sensibley, you have the right to do that, even if he was a legend in his past days, because your basically not abusing him, your just doubting his managerial talent, thats ok

Saint you have yet to answer the question mate ,how would you feel from  a personal perspective if you had to endure endless posts calling him a clueless  c*nt ,given your high regard of the man and the absolute  Legend that is Kenny Dalglish ,just an honest response I have no wish to fall out with you mate ,we share the same sentiments where the great man is concerned

Calling the manager a cancer on the club is not a thought out critisim it's a disgusting insult and I expect you wouldn't think twice about saying it about kenny if he was manager and things weren't going well because you don't have a clue about supporting this great club

Same as I feel about people slagging off any of my hero's, disappointed and annoyed, but I don't honestly believe that any one of them would lose any sleep over it.

My honest view on this forum is that people defend their stance oft times more than the person that is being criticised.

I don't believe we should abuse any Liverpool player or manager, but with feelings running high during and after a match, its understandable that sometimes we say things we don't mean once we have calmed down.

As for Dalglish, I think he is probably the best player ever to play for the club and was a great manager. No doubt people were advising him not to take the managers job last time as well mate. He had everything to lose by putting his neck on the line, especially as his career wasn't yet over with, and at the time that he did.

No doubt there were people who told Paisley that he had a secure job with Liverpool and there was no need to take on the impossible job of replacing Shankly, but where would we be today but for his decision?

Plaudits or criticism on an internet forum will have no effect on Dalglish, and I respect him enough to think he will be aware of the risk he will be taking with his reputation, to allow him to make up his own mind.

Hopefully if he took the job people would respect the man and the legend , but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, but I am sure he is well aware of the risks.

There is a massive difference between the pressure to suceed between the years ,shanks,sir bob and kenny were manager . Now its all down to money and the owners wanting to succeed to get money - back then it was pride . Then there is also a massive difference in the mentality of fans of back there and now - you can see it in the way you post and speak about things as opposed to the young uns who started around the 90's .

Also back then we had owners who were all about the club and the fans and the history - now we have owners who are all about the money .

Also Bob took over a successful team and the boot room stayed the same same with Joe and then with kenny so it was easy to just move along as opposed to this time with the whole of rafa's coaching staff in place .

It wouldnt be as easy as just placing kenny there and watching him succeed because im very sad to say this i dont think he would succeed tbh saint . Just because he did before nearly 20 years ago for us is no guarentee that he would this time - history and nostalga and love of the club only take you so far im afraid .

I understand what your saying about kenny in charge but in all honesty realistically imo it will never work .

I appreciate your candidness Saint ,and if truth be known it is based on selfish reasons why I took such a stance ,but the thread is about how fans whose lives have been illuminated by the man and his magic on the field ,would feel in general about the initial ill thought abuse he would no doubt receive ,not about how the man himself would react to it ,so I suppose when all things are considered this is a selfish thread and it was written with that concept of self interest  in mind mate

The thing is mate its not working NOW, and hasn't been for a good while. Changes need to be made, we haven't got the money to buy success, so we need someone who can find "some way" of earning it for us.

There are reasons why the mancs can play with midfielders in defense and still win, sell their best players and still win, play badly and still win. Just as there are reasons why we struggle when we have a couple of players out. Its not all down to the strength of the squad mate, but the belief of the players.

We go out hoping to snatch a win, while the manc go out knowing they will win. They attack teams while we worry about the opposition.   

Money is important, but when you haven't got it you can either accept that you will win nothing till you get some, or you can fight to overcome the obstacle. We don't seem to have much fight these days.

Bringing in kenny won't change any of that though saint . While kenny does have the club in his heart I don't believe he has the motivation nor the desire to even consider being manager . Can't see him putting himself through it all knowing the pressure of the job and also the expectations that comes with it . You have already got talk of if he got it he would turn it all round and win us this and that when there is nothing to back it up . 20 years ago was the last time he won anything with us and that's a very very long time in football turns .

I believe he has and hope that if we can find no one better he is given the opportunity to make his own mind up.

I believe without change we will continue to struggle and our players will never achieve their real potential (at least not at club level)

We have had a poor season after a very encouraging season mate , we don't have to have a change in management to turn it round more a change in luck , injuries and form - mancs and arsenal in recent years have had poor seasons and gone on to turn it around after no change and players playing to form . We could just as easily turn it around next season we no change to management . A change in management is no guarentee to succeed. Rafa IMO deserves the chance to turn it around .

Thats your opinion mate, my opinion is that bad luck is just another of the million and one excuses we have had to cover what in actuality has been mistake after mistake over the past few seasons.

I have seen NOTHING that leads me to believe that under the present management we will turn things around without MAJOR signings, and I see little chance of that. Maybe we will change a few of the odd goal defeats to draws or wins, but never enough to win the title.... we saw that last season. Too often we play with the hope of snatching a win rather than going out with the sole intention of winning. Obviously when games are so close one mistake or one moment of brilliance wins or loses you the game (which is where I believe your LUCK comes into it) rather than going out and dominating teams. We seem more concerned with not making mistakes rather than forcing the other team to make the mistakes.
