when he learns how to attack a cross in the air he will score very game, and get paco to get milan baros head weights that pulled his head down ,plonk them on crouchie to build some neck muscles up and the lad will bury every header :D

You don't seem to understand; its one thing being able to hav a powerful header, but you need to direct the fecking ball. Many many many times h is presented with a great ball, and even soemtimes gets the required power, but the ball is headed AT the keeper.

Peter isnt 17 years old, you cant just pick things up to your game. You either have the ability or you dont. Like I say, he has reasonable ability, but its nothing special and nothing onother 7-8m pound players such as Anelka or Bellamy or even Mcarthy.

In short, (oh the irony), he will do a job against most, but against the top clubs he doesnt cut the mustard.

I would definitely agree with that statement.

He has a nack for scoring important goals but thats not good enough for a striker. Look at Kuyt, he scores more than important goals. So Crouchy, score some goals for 2 reasons:

1) You can stay and play 1st team
2) So ur value goes up in the market

kuyt and bellamy are liverpools best two strikers and the best partnership! well they are to me!

crouch is a decent player but not liverpool standards!! he is a very good player on the floor and has great ball control!
however he is usless in the air! for somebody so tall i can not belive the lack of heading abilty crouch has!
in certian games this season we have lost control of the game because of crouch either comeing of the bench of starting the game. when he is on the pitch we seem to forget to do what liverpool do best- pass and move!
when crouch is introduced we seem to just do it the lazy way and pump balls up to his head to flick into deserted areas!

but we are liverpool fc and i along with all other true fans will support the whole team! we lose as a team and suceed as a team!
keep going crouchy

The problem with us is we have never replaced Owen, and we wont until we spend at least 25 million pound on one, Drogba, Henry mold.
Bellamy if he stays fit will score atleast 12 a season, Kuyt is being used wrong he is not playing as an out and out forward he is having to go and get the ball from midfield, he is working feckin hard 99 % of commitment cant fault him for that you have to blame Rafa for playing him the way he does.
Leave him in the box he will score more goals.
When him and Crouch play we are slow and predictable we break down in the last 3rd.
If Newcastle offer 10 million for Crouch Id sell and get a feckin top class goal scorer in a young Robbie Fowler would be ideal.
Another problem is Riise and Garcia have been poor also this season and we are short of about 5-6 players with creativity and quality.
We have been good at home but it was against lower teams Arsenal was a real test in where we are they are better than us, better get our act sorted out before we play Manu, Chelsea and Barca big time.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

It's amusing.

Since Michael Owen left, we never found the right guy we needed to replace him, and Owen never found the right club he needed to replace us.

What a fool. The worst decision of his career.

NEVER, yes he did dribbled past a couple of players in the last game, but he was never a threat to the goal keeper. Has he ever beat an opposition defender in a 1on1 contest and kicks a goal after dribble past him?  Has he ever assists in goals?  I don't remember seeing him making a good pass.  He relies heavily on a very good, precised, and accurate kick to take any advantage.
We are a big club we can get a better striker than Peter Crouch.

Get real, his link up play is often top class.
His game has never been about pace.
I think youl`ll find he assists quite alot, set up a fare few for Stevie G.
As i said any topclass manager would tell you Crouch is a quality player, look at his international record for feck sake, what that luck :p

Against what teams has he scored though?

Crouch is a good player and can do very well in a side which makes him the vocal point.  Meaning they play in a way to get the very best out of crouch.  We dont play that way and the team suffers when he plays.

Brilliant post Ciggy. All those who think Crouch is such a fine striker for any title aspiring team are deluding themselves.Average at best and nothing more.He works really hard but is simply not good enough beacause of his lack of pace, strength etc.Sell to Newcastle if an opprotunity arises.
