Crouch to miss the start of the season - Through suspension

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Ciggy » Thu Jul 21, 2005 8:33 pm

Due to the suspension he received in the last game for the Saints against CP, he picked up a red card meaning he will miss the start of our prem campaign :( .
Would have liked him to start the first game with us aswell away against Boro he knocked 2 passed them last season, where we only managed a goal from Steive and a cr@p draw, we dont have a good record against Boro away one of our bogey grounds, he will also miss the game against Sunderland.
However he's available for the Champions league games. I would like to see him on saturday with Baros upfront see if he's the new Peter Crouch Koller that Baros misses playing for us.
He's starting to grow on me now cant wait to see him in action, the lads a red now lets all get behind him.

He's big
He's great
He's 6 foot f@ckin 8

I think we're going to beat Boro[we must start this season with a win] and hopefully Zenden will score the winner :D

I saw on another thread that someone had likened him to a character from Southpark. Why  don't we just use his catchphrase

"TIMMY!"

Bummer about his suspension, but maybe that will come in handy as he can observe more how we play top class opposition before he steps into the frey(spelling?). I'm sure we'll cope and I await seeing him perform. Still not convinced though.

he can play in the Euro matches, so that will mean we could rest Cisse for the Boro match

The F.A. have probably done us a favour really, making us play in the qualifiers we will be the fittest team at the start of the season (injuries pending :glare: ) Our new players will have settled in a bit more by then, and we have to capitalise in our first games in the league and take advantage that a good few teams will be a bit rusty. Heres hoping anyway, home forms good, now just away form and we are sorted.
