Maybe Bellamy will settle down in the presence of superstars like Jamie Carragher and Stevie G.

I am really touting Bellamy here because I don't think most of the people that are slagging him actually watched him play this year. They have just heard about his "troubles" (which are falling out with Souness and picking a fight with Shearer via text message    ~who can really blame him). Bellamy really can do everything reasonably well: he is good in the air, he can hold the ball up, he is exremely fit, he is a good finisher, he can score from distance, he is pacy, he is great at timing runs, and he is good at setting up chances for his mates. He really likes working the channels on the behind the fullbacks to open up space in the center (NONE of our strikers have done that this year).

The only thing that concerns me is his attitude in the locker room. He has a reputation for pushing himself extremely hard and never giving up, but he is also known for bitching at his teammates. Steven Reid called him a "moaner" because he demands a lot from his teammates. However, with a 6m dollar price tag it would be insane not to buy him. He will make a huge difference next year.

I just dont understand that some ppl still wanted to sign him and still knowing that he have a "very bad" record off the field.

Life is funny ... but for this bellamy issue ... its already almost done deal ...

Just like most of us on here don't understand why you love Cisse so much knowing how badly he plays on the field.

Maybe you just get caught up with all the Cisse advertising you see around or issit the computer games you play ???

He really hasn't done anything that bad. I would say the worst of it was being involved in a night club brawl in Cardiff. Falling out with Graeme Souness or Alan Shearer is understandable.

I was actually replying to your first sentence in which you said:

"I just dont understand that some ppl still wanted to sign him and still knowing that he have a "very bad" record off the field."

I feel it is a lot easier to understand why people would turn a blind eye to Bellamy's off field antics and focus on his ability than to understand why you turn a blind eye to Cisse's on field abilty and focus on his......   hmmm   What was he good for again ??  hairstyles ??

It is good though that you do welcome him even though you may not understand his signing but I didn't refer to this in my first reply so I'm not sure why you brought this up ???

Bellamy is a proven player in the premiership. He hasn't got himself in trouble since joining Rovers and hope that continues if he joins liverpool.

His Assault charges against the young girl were while he was at Blackburn.

BBC have reoprted that he is now in contractual talks. Im sure the deal will be announced this week. Unless Rafa has other players he wishes to also announce.

A footballer's private life should have nothing to do with his footballing career. As I said I'm sure George Best's off the pitch lifestyle wasn't great same for Maradona, does that matter? Shouldn't it be about what a player does on the pitch? Bellamy is a good player and we should sign him, regardless of what he does at home.

I am sorry but I cant agree with you on this Oasis. Regardless of what some people think there are more important things in life than football ability, and a players off field actions can reflect badly both on the club and affect sponsorship, harming the clubs reputation and finance.
