How can anyone be unhappy if its true? We get top players and our future secured and the only downside is Rafa is going to stay.

Even I would settle for that mate. Not that I believe for one second that we will win the League with Rafa  :D

Hopefully its better guaranteed than his last promise that we would finish fourth.

because rafa would still be manager

If it's true, we'll find out soon enough... I was neutral about this Rafa leaving thing, I really didnt hate him about 1 bad season, but I neither loved him about his amature fails, so I just waited for time to tell me what to think, but if this is true, Rafa will again gain back my full support... if he plays it right. But I doubt that it's true.

Alternate story

Rafa spoke to the players today, and told them that he is off. He said the club will be sold very soon, he has already spoke to the new owners, and he has been assured there will be no money to bring in any of the players he wants next season.
He said if any player was not happy with him as manager, to stand up and walk out there and then, and they will be sold for a fair price and never play again, not even this season. Not one player didn't stand up. He informed all the junior players that he thought they were cr@p, and if any deserve their chance they will never get it. He also said that he will personally phone every player on loan, and in the acadamy and tell them the same thing.
He said he will be unfair to every player but the squad needed transforming, he said he belived in 3 years we will be relegated, maybe falling two divisions, also said some of you will not be here then, but you will stay and fight now, and go down in history as a member of the squad who took us down. For the people staying he promised they will be on wages as good as any other team in england can pay in the second division, but they must show they deserve these wages.

He said the battle to sign players in the summer will be hard, but money is no longer a problem for LFC as we have none, however said some of you will have to speak to your national team mates in the summer and beg them for spare cash. However once the first 2 players were sold, who he regards as within the top 5 players in the world, then other players will follow. My source saif afterwards that Torres has been told that he will be playing at Villa next season, and he has already spoke to him on the phone about it.

After that he told all the players to feck off for getting him the sack. He finished by saying we are Liverpool football club, and we should be very proud, who is with me. Apparently Gerrard started the booing and all other players joined in.

Afterwards Rafa got Gerrard, Carragher, Reina,Torres and masch in his office, he again cursed them, and asked for their help to pack his bags, and again said shortly you will have some of your greatest players sold and that there is nothing for you here.

Afterwards Torres was saying he is convinced going to villa will be great, and carragher was saying to Insua that he will have to tell messi to buy him, but this was seen as a bit of a joke and few players were laughing.

I highly doubt that.  I'd gladly take that scenario and say Sink or Swim Rafa.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.
