as things stand right now i would be looking for us to push for 2nd, just look who manu have left and who we have left to plat, we can do it. i bet man u only get 4 point out of the rest of the games they have left, if we win the next 4 games(and we should) 2nd is ours......sorry its taken me this long to be optimistic

I feel your optomism is a bit too late my friend!!

Regardless of the run ins i doubt very much the scum will drop enough points for us to catch them unfortunately!

Im still happy with 3rd though and take comfort in the fact that in a lot of the games we drew,we actually deserved to win by a long way!!Yes we have had a couple of unspirited performances along the way but these have been few and far between!Overall our league form is a lot better and being realistic if we had been scoring in the games we dominated the league would look a different picture!

3rd will do us this time!!

Spurs are too far behind to catch us,so lets just sit back and enjoy the remaining games we have!! No pressure!!

And look forward to a better season next time!

1) IF Spurs overtake us for 3rd

AND

2) IF Arsenal win the CL

there's more chance of everton qualifying for europe

No kidding!  :D

Just thought I'd mention it for the sake of accuracy...

I still think there are goals to achieve over the course of this run-in, though:

1) Thrashing Chelsea in the semis and winning the FA Cup (I would so love to give them a real hiding at Old Trafford!)
2) Pushing Man U all the way for second
3) Setting the club record for clean sheets (3 more to go!)
4) Getting Robbie into double figures in goals  :buttrock
5) Testing some of our promising young reserve players (Anderson, Barragan, etc....but not all at once, mind you!) against top-flight competition (Villa excepted  :p )

Fair point there Stu!!

Good to see you again lad!! :)

... against Australia.  :D

I can dream if I want to.  :D

You dream of Australia being beaten by England in the final?!?     :D

Yes, because I would love Australia to make it to the final at least. I have higher expectations of England.

Been a great season , would have like to have at least gone past Benfica but FA cup semi has been a great bonus.
It not just the fact that we have qualified but how we have gone about building a tight organised unit. I really watch the games now with a confidence that we wont concede a goal. Just got to bring some firepower in over the summer and its really looking like a bright red future.

Bringing back the Almighty to Merseyside was also an added and very unexpected bonus
