I'll be seriously disappointed if we concede any goals against PSV.

Not going to happen.

Thats a hard draw for chelsea.  I didnt want Valencia.  Utd v Roma isnt a banker either.

Fancy Bayern to beat Milan though.  I can see Bayern who have had a terrible seaon in the league work there way to the Final with Hitzfield in charge.  Then Again Milan are another team who can somehow reach the Final against all odds.

theres an alarming possibility of a complete bloodbath in Athens if its a Liverpool - Utd final. Uefa will ban all english teams from european competitions for the next 50 years.:D

Chelsea have got an awkward draw i think. I think Valencia will probabley get away with a couple of players being susspended there is every chance that when they play them back in spain the could put them out.

Also i've just been talking to a mate who's a manc and he was well pleased they had avoided us, and tried to make out that they had a better draw than us ??? I had to remind him that although the mancs have the last leg at home, Roma absolutley murdered alot of peoples tip (Lyon). After that they will have to play either Milan or Bayern (who slaughtered Real) away in the last leg.

was very pleased when i heard of this draw....but anything could happen, i thought Benfica would be easy last time and look what happened....

Valencia are a very good side at home, i hope they can get past Chelsea, it'll be interesting to see the reception Rafa gets at Valencia if we both get thru that is.
Roma are not what they used to be, but im hoping they can cause an upset and knock the mancs out.

overall pleased

Quite happy with that - I think PSV's fans won't be too chuffed about drawing us put it that way. Let's be honest, it's just pure stress all the way now isn't it - get past PSV then the prospect of another Chelsea semi-final - Jesus - just off to get the pacemaker fully serviced in time for whatever lies ahead these next few weeks.:D

Manchester United also avoided the more difficult teams remaining, paired with Serie A side Roma. Both United and Liverpool will play the second leg of their tie at home.

Chelsea were given the most difficult draw of the English sides against Valencia, where they must travel to the Mestalla for the second leg.

AC Milan will host Bayern Munich at the San Siro before a second leg in Bavaria.

Providing they overcome PSV, who conquered Arsenal this week, Liverpool face the winner of Chelsea and Valencia but must play the second leg away from home.

United or Roma take on the winner of Bayern and Milan's clash, playing at home first - meaning a possible trip to Old Trafford for England midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

The quarter-final sees Manchester-born Simone Perrotta face United for Roma, while former Chelsea defender Asier del Horno, now with Valencia, could take on his former club.

The last-eight first legs will be played on April 3 and 4 and the return matches on April 10 and 11. Semi-finals will be played on April 24 and 25 and the second legs on May 1 and 2.

------------------

If we get into the semis, we play the 2nd leg away from home. 1st leg at anfield.

Think you'll find the semis away first leg mate - but we're classed as the away team if we make the Final I believe

Obviously its a very good draw, quarter finals of the champions league we have avoided the other english clubs and Valencia, PSV are no mugs and will be well organised hoping to stifle us, but they dont have too many players that would cause us too much concern.
We played an understrenghth team away and draw nearly sneaking it at the end, then comfortably beat them at home in the other group game.
What happened against Benfica last season i think will help us this season, there should be no complacency-and i dont think Rafa will allow any.
Chelsea in the semi's again, if both progress will be very interesting Rafa has got the better of Jose in the cups si far and we battered them twice in the league this season, although the Stamford bridge result went against us.
I seriously think there is every chance we will make the final.

Btw it says on the BBC website that if we make the semi's we are home second leg.

Very happy with the draw - just got a nagging doubt somewhere that Milan would beat us if it was another LFC v Milan final - Istanbul will still be haunting them and they'll want to put that to bed.  I'd probably die from nerves before a United final as well.  PSV shouldn't be underestimated, but if we play to our best we'll be in the semi-finals.

UEFA got any sense they'll move the Final if its all English and jus compensate the Greeks - I see more ruins unfortunately if they don't!!

Could not make it last time we met to come to Liverpool but this a nice opportunity to see PSV playing Liverpool on Anfield Road. Lot of PSV-supporters hoped for a new opponent because the journey would be different but am not that disappointed.

We will probably loose both matches but it doesnt make me less happy being in the 1/4 final! :)

First of all happy to see LFC against PSV again.
Although quite confident LFC can do this job easily there is a but...

All of you complaining about our scoring record. Arsenal did only score 1 in 180 minutes.
At this stage every team can beat the other one.
I would have prefered Milan

I can see a "Greek Tragedy" unfurling if we play the "scum" in the final...in that case i would move it to a remote unhabited island somewhere far from greece.....that game could finish off the tourism industry for good!. :oh:

Dont think Utd have got it easy at all, they're well solid defensively with Mexes and Chivu, De Rossi, Pizzarro, Perrota in midfield and Taddei, Totti and Mancini are more than capable. I think Valencia will knock out Chelsea.

On paper we have the easiest tie, even easier considering what we done to them in the groups and the good thing is we already know exactly how they'll play, for the 0-0, 1-0 in the first leg but we've been stung by Koeman before and had the "easy" tie last season so have to watch it
