If he has that attitude that we are just a Stepping Stone maybe we should just do without him, we need long term players who will be successful not just ones who are thinking about a move elsewhere?
I cant think of any clubs bigger than Liverpool apart from the exception of Manchester United(just),Real Madrid, AC Milan or FC Barcelona in terms of size and support.

He could mean if he performs well with LFC, win champions Cup, wins premiereship that he would be first choice as Frontman for France, go onto play WorldCups and EuroCups. It seems some national teams really only look at players playing for top clubs (England Cough), so other players knowing/thinking they are better have to get into these teams just to get noticed.

Dont be too quick to jump on some bandwagon, gather facts first.
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

Is this guy as good as his reputation or what?  I have to admit i've got no opinion on him, i've seen him play once in last years Confederation Cup, and twice against us when he was p#ss poor.  I don't watch Eurosport because whenever I switch it on there's skiing or some other daft sport on, so I don't get to see the French League standard or this guy's finishing technique.

Can anyone tell me if he's good or what, or is he going to be another Collymore, Diouf, waste of a lot of money, (please feel free to add more here) etc....

i've heard good things about him but i'm not convinced until i see him with my own two eyes. he's supposedly faster, stronger and better in the air than henry, but the french league is nowhere to prove yourself at the highest level. if he'd played in italy or spain i'd be more confident.

the fact that cisse sees liverpool as a stepping-stone proves that we are not in the top echelone of european football anymore. he merely sees liverpool as a chance to improve his all-round game before one of the really big clubs come in for him.

I really doubt he meant it that way. The boy regected big clubs to come to us... A definite being Chelsea. He is determined to play for us and really, u can't see him being so enthusiastic to play for a 'stepping stone' club.

The way i see it Cisse turned down Chelsea's offer.  Ok so Chelsea aren't as famous a name as us but they will be.  I see them as the next Real Madrid so if he was looking for a stepping stones to bigger clubs he would have taken Chelsea.  If he is looking for stepping stones to more international opertunites though, then it makes more sense.  As for his ability, I've seen him play about two dozen times and he is definately a better player than Henry WAS.  Whether he will be a better player than Henry IS, I don't know.  I reckon we overpaid though, around a million or two less is what he's worth (based on what I've seen)

I think he was talking about a steping stone in terms of improving as a player and proving himself in a better league and breaking into the French national side.

He's cr#p.

No pace, rubbish in the air, cr#p finisher, doesn't score or create goals and has absoloutely nothing to offer this club.

We have too many French pr1ck here in Liverpool's squad, there is no point to buy more French pr1ck, why can't Liverpool buy Juan Pablo Angel of Aston Villa, he is much better than Cisse, cos he's got more experiences than Cisse.
